This TOPS book was on the table and caught my eye as I wandered past it. Because I could.
Question... What do you do during the day?
I take photos of ordinary STUFF every day of my life, some you see and some you do not.. I just deleted over 7000 photos when I emptied my recycle bin yesterday. Shocked I was!
The other thing I do in my day, five morning a week, is go to the YMCA and exercise either in the pool or in the Basketball Gym... Due to removal of Squamous Cell and not allowed in pool, this week I walked for half and hour around the gym. My phone was on radio and the temptation to TAKE PHOTOS as I walked was more than I could fight. They have summer camp for 200 kids. I had to giggle when I saw this sign... and I am still wondering what the game was...
My thoughts were..
A. I could not army crawl if you held a gun on me
B. I would not touch a lazer if you held same gun on me.
C. my curiosity is killing me, I did find a game called Lazer Tag on Amazon..
WHAT DO YOU DO DURING YOUR DAY?????

Yes, I think it is Laser Tag. Forget army crawling, I could not get up or down on the floor. I hope the cancer area was not large. Usually, I get up and do e-mail, blogs, and church work. Then make coffee and have a cup. Then make breakfast. After that we usually have to go somewhere, quite often it is a doctor appointment. Later toward evening, if nothing social is happening, we like to go birdwatching and check the sunset. Then we watch our T.V. shows and I make dinner. All this is apt to change on any given day. Now aren't you sorry you asked?

this is what makes up life for the most part - the ordinary things. Rising, prayers, cuppa and bloggies, another cuppa with brekky and writing; lunch, reading, writing, researching, housework, evening meal, some telly or some reading, doing puzzles, prayers, bed. Then there are all the things which come between to spark our imaginations or intrigue the intellect. Thinking. That's what constitutes the basis of my life; thinking. YAM xx
Lazer tag was what I thought of when I read the sign.
What I do during the day depends on what day of the week it is. Of course, if it's a work day, I'm working. My days off are spent doing a variety of things. Sometimes cleaning, sometimes crafting, sometimes computer and sometimes something altogether different. Today will be cleaning out my vehicle and getting everything put away and then getting my craft room cleaned up.
Making every day count and taking delight in the little simple thingys is just the bestest way to lives (oh, and photograph thems to look at and smile at alter!)

Good morning, I had to look up the word Squamous Cell. I hope all is well there. My hubby recently went to have a mole removed, now they want him to come back so they can dig some more. I have my daily routines, fill the bird feeders, eat, computer time, cleaning house. If it is nice we will take a walk. One day a week we go shopping. This week is not normal because we have 3 days of doctor visits. That's not fun. Have a happy day!
Oh my cats Sandra I didn't know you had a squamous cell removed...was it last week. I hope it is healing nicely.
LOL I could not do any of the 3 things on that sign either...well I might be able to regular crawl but I'd never get back up.
Our routine:
Feed the Diva
turn on the coffee
make sure the Diva finished breakfast (1st dose of meds in Breakfast)
make our breakfast
wash and dry my hair
M-F we walk ~1 hour at the mall 8-9ish
first of several mini snacks for the Diva
run any necessary errands before the 3 H's arrive
last and most importantly read blogs and laugh lots
that is impawant
3 or 4ish feed diva her big meal with last meds
Hugs Cecilia
Walking, reading, listening to music, and checking in with blog friends!
The kids nowadays do seem to get into areas we never imagined. I hope they still play simple games that are FUN! Every day is different around here. And I love it! Hugs!
Oh Sandra, I ask myself every evening, what did you do today???? I am surprised on most days where I realize that I got NOTHING done and you know what, I am good with that. haha....retirement and fibro has brought to life laziness and somedays that is okay, other days it drives me slap ass crazy!
I love hearing about your exercise routine! That's a lot of walking!
I spend each day struggling to get everything done that needs to be done. I exercise on my bike everyday, and, like you, I can't contain myself from taking photos during that time. I work with Shyla on training every day. I do PT with R every day. I take online courses, and I spend time on them every day. Perhaps the most time-consuming thing that I do is my job/hobby of taking care of my trail camera fleet, which involves lots of exercise and being out in the wilderness by myself. I love my life but I do too much, and I can't keep up!!!!
When I list it all, I still don't know which thing to give up!
Enjoyed that sign. Get up and have a cup of tea, eat breakfast a piece of fruit and yogurt lately, trying to be good. Do a bit of blogging, have my shower, DON'T go to the gym, wink, wink, do try and do some walking. We went to a park but knew it wouldn't be for long as it was so darned hot but there was a lot of people there, do some grocery shopping, stop at the coffee shop, get home, plonk myself down because the heat has gotten to me and I am all shades of purple, drink another large glass of water, sort out photos I took at the park, get up, we fix and eat dinner, I do some tidying, plonk myself down again, read, go to bed. Tomorrow I need to go to the shopping mall so I will do some walking in a nice air conditioned building. It changes from day to day.
Aaargggh, that sign is messing with my OCD big time! (Move on, Myra … just breathe deeply …. move on.)
WHAT's this about a squamous cell removal? And you didn't let us fret on your behalf?
I think your question is a big wake-up call. Having been uber-regimented the last 40 years, I'm still struggling with all this free time. Right now, the only DEFINITE is first thing taking the dogs out, then brewing a good cup of coffee and settling in the sun room with my tablet and reading blogs.
I hate that question! I've been asked it too many times over the 14 years since my early (health-related) retirement... My answer is usually that my problem is still more about how to do what I need to do and want to do, rather than finding things to "fill" my time... Feels like a full-time job most days just to be my own personal assistant! ;) ... But, as you know... in my "spare" time I like to take my camera for walks, blog and write postcards, read/listen to books, watch some TV - and learn strange foreign languages via Duolingo!
I love your gym visits - I don't do them. For nine months of the year I hike around here with my dogs, then for three I do nothing much due to heat, which I can't tolerate any more. I would swim, I love to swim, but with my insulin pump and now that new device I am attached to, I don't go to the public pool. The one here is supposed to be awful anyway. But you are right, I could walk around my house. I do spin though on my old stationary bike. Then I do regular stuff, everyday stuff, and for some reason it makes me happy. I also read, play games, take pictures, crochet, write blog, read blogs, watch a few things on TV, and my movies. Oh, throw balls to Faith, play with dogs, brush dogs, give dogs medicines, feed dogs, water dogs, hose dogs, take dogs to vet, to groomwer, and so on. My most important stuff, my dogs. Are you sorry you asked?
Wow, that's a great question.
Somedays I am so darn lazy...puttering around on the computer for far too long.
Health issues for Hubby and me have put a kink in our life style too.
Morning routine of devotions, breakfast, computer answering emails, blog, Maybe shooting a photo or two, though I have been so totally uninspired lately.
Too smokey and HOT to walk for what it seems like Forever.
Friday I made salad for 100 and set up for Celebrate Recovery. When the main food server is out of town, Dave and I take over. She makes a full dinner...we have Domino's pizza, salad and dessert. Lots to set up , serve and clean up. I am happy to help out and volunteer but am glad it's not too often.
Of course there are always errands that must be done and trips to the grocery store but I guess I really move rather slowly every day.
Garbage day tomorrow so I will be clipping up some of the things that the lawn guys don't do.
What a boring day I seem to have written about...but it suits us fine for the moment.
Early to rise, early to bed for me! I read, listen to music, clean, cook and care for the pets. Each day is about the same!
I always love looking at your life through your camera!
My days vary...and I need to get a set routine down...
What I like to is spend quality time with the dogs, my camera and nature...
What I need to do is decorate the new house, keep things clean and set up my office....
I am trying to do everything at the same time right now, which isn't working to well
LOL
Sorry to hear about the squamous cell sweet Sandra and hope all will be okay with you now. I never do the same thing on any one day. The only semi-routine I have is feeding Chancy and Pooh. I am a spur of the moment person and do whatever when the mood hits me. lol Hugs
I think that is laser tag - but i could never get on the ground or get up. I am sorry about your skin cancer - where was it? I will say a prayer but it sounds like you have it handled. sandie
Oh my goodness where do I start? I do like to keep myself busy whether it's going to the gym, tending the the horses, quilting, walking the dog, hanging out with my husband, riding bikes, riding my horse etc.. Each day is different but the one thing that stays the same is they go fast. Sorry to hear about your cancer. I should be more careful as I love to be outside in the sunshine. Never stop taking pictures, I love to look at them.
Have a great week!
Saimi
This is a good question Sandra and some days I find muself wondering where the time went when it’s ended. Currentky, we are on a USa cross country road trip and so every day has been different, aside from the driving to the next stop. Once we are back in NH I will resume my daily gymn visits and the try to get to the mental list of to do’s.
I don't do anything as exciting as you do!
