Sharing What Works! for me

I am allergic to adhesive, even paper tape causes a rash. The Derm Doc said buy a bottle of Liquid Bandage. It is water proof and I missed zero pool time... It works on paper cuts like magic, on cuticle hang nails that hurt so bad, stops that pain... I broke a finger nail off in the quick, One drop on it and no pain. It will not wash off. To remove it you must paint over it again and wipe quickly before it dries.

Dramamine is perfect if you have a day of dizzy spells.... I had two days that my sinus acted up and when I stood the room spun. One Dramamine every 24 hours and no spinning.. (Plus, if you get kidnapped and they put you on a plane or a boat, you are already safe from motion sickness.)

I could easily become and FBI, DEA,CIA, Detective or PI because, YES! I do read a lot of thriller, mystery, action books..... Do you Read? How often? Favorite Genre?

I should get some of that liquid bandage. Whenever I try and wear a bandaid at work it refuses to stay on because I'm constantly washing my hands.
I'm a mystery lover so that's what I read the majority of the time. I don't spend a ton of time reading but I do make time for it every day.

...I wonder if it's similar to superglue, that 'bandage'??! In the way you are allergic to topical stuff, I am to ingestives such as Dramamine. I therefore use peppermint to quell the nausea of vertigo when it happens and wear dark glasses to minimise the spinouts! YAM xx

Hello, the liquid bandage and Dramamine are good to have in your medicine cabinet. Thrillers and Mysteries are my favorites. I hope you are never kidnapped. Enjoy your day!

Wow, I am BUYING the Liquid Bandage! I didn't know it would even stop the hurting. After my surgery where the doctor removed part of my colon, I had about five incisions. NO stitches, he glued them all together! Plus it sealed them so they didn't get infected. I sometimes get horrible vertigo, so usually have the Dramimine on hand. I AM ALLERGIC TO BAND AID ADHESIVE!! But I can do the paper tape for a short time. I CAN wear band aids on my fingers, but no where else. Strange! If the nurse puts an band aid on after a shot, my skin turns black. I have a folder called Ginny's Favorite Things, remember, like Oprah did? But just never got around to posting any of it. YOU should start Sandra's Favorite Things! I love knowing about things like this. Short cuts, hacks, products, anything like that.

I love the liquid bandage too.
I don't think I've ever had a Dramamine.
Reading is a favorite pass time here too
Mysteries, any books fiction or non fiction about animals,
family stories.

Yep … before I forgot, I jumped up and added Liquid Bandage to my WM list. Like a little kid who can't leave well enough alone, my ankles are pretty ugly from scratching skeeter bites … reluctant to show up at the Y for my first aqua-cize class tomorrow. (What if the others think I've got some ghastly disease?) A little concealer and some Liquid Bandage and I'll be all set!

PS - THIS time I'll be sure to let it dry completely before putting on my shoes! (yes … yes, that really happened. Not one of my brighter moments.)

Thanks Sandra for this info as someone who gets hang nails often, liquid bandage will be on my list next trip to CVS. I prefer non-fiction books, mostly mystery but since we’ve been traveling, I haven’t read a book on over 6 weeks...yikes!

This is the first time I've heard of liquid bandage, sounds brilliant.
Yes, I read but its got to really grab me. I like some thrillers but have been known to abandon a book half way through if it gets boring. Tom on the otherhand will keep going to the end even if its not that good. Chalk and cheese, that's us. lol

Liquid bandage sounds like a perfect solution for the cuts and bruises. I will have to pick some up soon.
We usually have Bonine in our cabinet for dizziness. Both Dave and I have had a reaction to Dramamine.
Love historical novels, and I have just finished book #18 of The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. They are a sweet series of a "Traditionally Built" woman in Botswana. Sometimes slow but captivating to me. Actually I like just about anything to read.

The liquid bandage sounds like a great product. Some (0000000000000000000000000000000000000000) - That's a message from Speedy G - Okay some bandaids bother my skin so I might give that a try. I did chuckle about the Dramamine and being prepared in case you are kidnapped on a boat or plan.

I used to read all the time then went through a phase where it was hard to find anything that held my interest. I could not settle on anything. Then, I got my first kindle and started reading this and that. I read a lot of biographies/memoirs and usually NOT about famous people, i also read true crime, holocaust survivor stories, books by people who have walked the Appalachian Trail, just read one about a guy that rode a horse cross country, so I readva bit of everything. I will picknup any book by someone that homesteaded... in the 1800's when settling the plains and the west, and I love books about living in Alaska, or any place in the cold North. And i reread books...you shoukdvread Last of the Breed by Louis Llamour.,,it is NOT a weatern...repeat NOT A WESTERN.

I bought the Dramamine for our cruise but Louis Dean has been having some 'fuzzy' spells. Maybe that will help him. Now I need to be sure and get that Liquid Bandage! I don't know why I haven't bought some of that before now! And again - it will be perfect for our trip!
