Camilla in the Park Today

I cant read, can't watch TV, can't concentrate other than go into a cleaning frenzy, which I have done for 2 days. I went with Bob to Bray park to take my walk, while he flew his plane. He sent it up and right back down, the wind was to much for the plane.  We left the field and went to the part of the park with sunshine and shade and green grass and walked together.  Surprise! we saw TWO otters, no pics, I was not quick enough.

As we walked I saw a woman with this dog coming towards us and said, Will she let strangers pet her? The lady said, no, she is fear aggressive. She was not that way, but she was attacked in the off leash park and since then is afraid of strangers.

I said, That is fine, I will just look at her, she is so beautiful. We just lost our dog 3 days ago and I needed to pet a dog... Camilla's head came up, she looked me right in my eyes and walked over to my knees and touched my hand. I got a lot of loving.  The woman said, she never does that. I said she feels my pain and knows I need her to love me...  No, she is not named after Prince Charles wife, I asked. Of course you knew I would...…. I

I am not back yet, I just wanted to update you.

We are not doing well, we are devastated but keeping on keeping on..... We are going to repair our fence and get a dog or maybe two, rescue dogs Like Camilla, she was rescued while they were in Costa Rica visiting.

Animals do have senses beyond what we have, and Camilla just KNEW. I love your picture of this park, do not ever remember you posting it. I wish Bob could have flown!! Seems even the slightest bit of wind affects these planes. I will be so very happy when you adopt! You both have so much to give. Rescue is the only way, I would never ever buy a dog from a store or breeder.

Sandra, this brought tears to my eyes.
I believe God gave you a touch from Him through Camilla.
He does heal the broken hearted.
Continued hugs to you and Bob.

Camilla is such a beautiful name for that precious lady pup. I think she sensed your emotions.
Maybe you can find 2 dogs that are already together and friends...your heart would sing I know.

How sweet of Camilla to greet you in a friendly way, maybe she is healing from fear. How heart broken you must be and I think you will be sent or will find another dog or 2 to help you heal.

Aw what a sweet dog and obviously knows and senses the sweetness in you. Dogs really are special in that way. I'm glad she gave you what you needed. It's so sad when our loving pets pass on. We've had many in our married life all who have touched our lives in special ways. Our Archie Beagle had health problems from the get go but he was a perfect example on how one can still enjoy life and make the most of it even when you have health limitations. I started this blog because of him. He was the funniest puppy. It still makes me tear up when I think of his short little wonderful life. Although he lived longer than expected. You will find a special doggie or two to share your life. The best part about dogs is they are never replaced because each one has their own unique personality that brings something different to the home.
Have a great weekend

Jake whispered in Camilla's ear...
'come hither darling and let her near;
of this woman, you need not fear -
This I know, for I hold her dear.'

Animals do have senses - I am sure of it. They feel what you are feeling and can sense it - I am so glad you had that experience.

There are so many dogs for adoption - some old ones too - hope you get two really good one.

again i am sorry about Jake.

"... Camilla's head came up, she looked me right in my eyes and walked over to my knees and touched my hand." No-how, no-way, no-one can convince me dogs don't understand what we say. I believe, that was an angel's kiss.

She knew you needed her love. This is beautiful and made my tears clear up. I'm going back and forth between your blogs and I was crying reading 4 Paws. Now I smile because someone gave you just what you needed. Love. She is a beautiful dog.

Sweet Sandra I don't know how you feel about things like this but I don't believe you meeting up with Camilla was by chance. I am so happy for you that she went to you and comforted you. She sure is a beautiful dog. I believe you and Bob will find the perfect dog or dogs to be a part of your family when you are ready to do so. Love and hugs

Meeting Camilla was meant to be. It was a sign from Jake that he is no longer feeling pain and he wants you to be ok.

Hello, Camilla is a beautiful rescue. She knew you needed some doggie love. I am glad you are thinking about getting another dog. I know a new dog does not replace Jake and they all have their own personalities. I always heard having a dog makes you happy. There are so many rescues out there that need a loving home. I feel you pain, sending HUGS!
