Freddy Junior...

I have a problem! I am STILL feeding Tadpoles, it cost me 3.78 a week to feed them. I want to stop but what can I do? they are just now turning into tiny frogs.. This is Freddy Jr. He is the size of an eraser on a pencil.... I did a couple of Lunapic to show you how cute he is.. Don't you just LOVE him?  would you buy spring mix for tadpoles?   I said to Bob, this is silly, I am not buying more food. When I came home from WM and went out to feed them, he said I KNEW YOU WOULD buy more lettuce.  They have been in the barrels since July 24th, I have been feeding them for weeks now. In the past they did not need food because they were gone within 3 weeks.
One of the tiny frogs leaped off the barrel to the ground and I nearly expired from JOY...

There are now FOUR tiny frogs, about a dozen with front legs only, another dozen with 4 legs but still have a tail.... Now that you know this, you can sleep better.....😎  If I start a Lettuce for Tadpoles Go Fund Me, will you donate?????

So cute! Why do you think these have been in the barrel so much longer than the other batch? Maybe because they don't need to leave to get food? I would feed them too! I think the first picture is my favorite because I can see how he really looks. BUT the second picture is more clear, so they both do need to be posted.

Wow, he's a tiny little thing. I would donate to your Go Fund Me but Gibbs says I am not allowed to dip into his Milkbone funds.

Hello,

Love the cute frog. I would have never even thought to feed tadpoles. I am sure we had plenty of them in our pond too. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and the new week!

Ha ha, once you start you have to continue or you get the guilts. lol
I do not know how much I spend on the foxes and seagulls but they pay me back in the pleasure I get from seeing them close up.
I'm loving the picture of these little froglets.

...but would then not be servicing your frog habit??? &*>

Seriously, he is the cutest - though I too wonder if it is the ready availability of food which has kept them there? YAM xx

You know the old saying 'if you feed them they'll stay'. I know how Freddie and others would vote.

Oh my gosh, they are adorable! I would be feeding them too. My Dad used to have a frog in his backyard pond he named Honker. He became quite attached to him.

They are pretty cute! We have one that gets into our window frame and croaks and makes himself seem like a 'big toad'! heehee! But he is tiny. Enjoy your day sweet lady!

Of course, Sandra, you know that we have a fondness for frogs (penguins too) so it was great to see and read about the progress of the tadpoles. As another comment asked, do you think they stay around because of the available lettuce? Has this happened before and if you didn't provide the food would they perish?

He's so cute and lucky to be so well taken care of by you. Only thing I do for wildlife here is have a water leak that I don't fix and give my ageing spinach and lettuce to the rabbits.

Love the froggies. When we first moved in there was a resident frog in the hot tub. (not hot)
We got rid of the hot tub and the frog went away too.
Just two weeks ago we heard the loud croke of a frog in our back yard but can't find it.
I do hope the next door neighbors cat didn't get it, since we haven't heard it since.
Love the pictures of your little guy.

Of course I'd donate to those precious babies' food bank! Next time you get to feeling guilty for the $3.78, just thank your lucky stars they don't require beef or pork!

No wonder they don't want to leave when they are being fed. Just kidding of course.

Why are there more this year than other years? Do they do something good for your yard?
