I found a cheaper way to feed the tabpoles. I bought a head of red leaf lettuce, wilted the whole thing and serve a few pieces each day. They use it for food and to sit on to rest.. Look at circled teeny frog above right corner.

Two more tiny tree frogs, they are in the bottom of the measure cup... So tiny and perfect. I could put both of these side by side on the palm of my hand and still have room for more. It has occurred to me these guys are invasive and not natural to Florida, but what can I do??? it's to late now.

Since they are invasive, I wonder how they got to Florida. Did they live in Pa and not like the winters so decided to permanantly move south?...lol

WOW, what a teat!! And how cool that this is the first thing I see on this miserable day with sleet, sleet, sleet. I just cannot say enough. Tadpole ART! First, they are beyond CUTE! And now I can see them eating the lettuce and sitting on it! You have given them their own lily pads! The light in all of these is perfect!! And picture 4, they are all around the lettuce, creating a kind of design! They are all different sizes, too. This is for sure one of my very favorite posts of yours! And no, you cannot stop now. Now that they have thrived to be this big, they would suffer greatly if you stopped feeding them. I believe in kindness to immigrants!!! Especially very tiny ones.
Oh my! Sandra has started a frog farm.LOL I'm not sure what I would do.I know what my hubby would have done.He would have fed and nurtured them, like you do.

This is very educational, fun for people to show their kids and grandkids, and us too. I've enjoyed your frog series from tadpole to frog. Clever idea about feeding them also. Well, it's not their fault that they are invasive. They have a part in this world too and hopefully they will be good for it. For a start they will get rid of all those mosquitoes!.

Who cares if they are invasive! They are adorable Sandra. Every once in awhile one will get inside my house and I have to catch it and throw it back outside. I would love to have some tadpoles!
How did you find out in the first place what frogs eat?
