I am embarassed...

At the YMCA, people bring in calendars they don’t want or don’t need. They are placed where we can choose one if we want to. My only criteria is the corner of the pages Must STAND up while hanging on the wall. No limp folded over corners… OCD ME you know

I found one last week, and on the way home

I said to Bob, “I got our new 2019 calendar and it has beautiful photos of Old Williamsburg on it. It’s beautiful; I have seen photos on some of the blogs I follow.”

“Where is it?” he asked.

I said “in the  back seat, why? “

He says “NO, where is Colonial Williamsburg”……….

“Ummmmmmmmmm I don’t know or if I did I can’t remember. I will look it up when we get home.”

Bob: “Why don’t you just look on the back of the calendar”……….

Do you know where it is? Without reading the back of the calendar??

Well, without the benefit of the calendar I am going to guess it is within cooee of just plain old Williamsburg, which my history/geography lessons told me was/is in Virginia... YAM xx

I thought it was going to be a 2018 calendar - ;)
I know where Ole Williamsburg is but as an American history buff, sad to say I haven't been there (yet).

What a great idea, about the calendar giveaway. Yes I know about Williamsburg, if it is the one on your calendar. My sister-in-law lived there for years and we still go occasionally even though they moved. Two hours south of here, a lovely old colonial town. I posted about our visit a few weeks ago. Your candle photo is beautiful and I smiled about the conversation you had with Bob. Sounds like something I would have with my hubs.

Funny! We had a similar conversation a while back when I mentioned wanting to visit the nearby Jefferson Davis home. Tom said, "Who????" and I had a senior moment of my very own.

My parents took me to Colonial Williamsburg one December -- absolutely gorgeous, but all I can really recall was the BEST stew I've ever tasted, served in pewter bowls.

I’ve been there and it is a magical place - at any season!

I've seen blog posts from there too, but not sure on whose blog. Couldn't say for sure which state but seemed to recall it was one of the east coast states... As indeed it turned out to be when I checked! :)

I hope it was on the calendar. I don’t have a clue.

Yes, went to college about an hour from there. Maybe two.

Funny some people have had the opportunity to go there - and others only dream (me). Berry Christmas.

Yes, but then, we live practically next door, in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Husband, Mom and I took a trip to Old Willliamsburg years and years ago. Went to a fancy restaurant, where "red snapper" was on the menu. There was this wild little toddler running around this posh restaurant. Mom said, "The menu isn't the only thing that has a red snapper." That started us snickering and then giggling, and the more the kid acted up the harder it was not to laugh out loud.

I knew it was in Virginia but did not know where located in Virginia!

I knew it was in Williamsburg but I couldn't remember which state. I should brush up on some history. Hugs

Yes, we know about Williamsburg, Sandra as we lived in VA and visited years ago. That was a good comment that Bob had to look on the back of the calendar. Also, what a good idea to have a giveaway. I still like having a wall calendar despite my husband saying all he needs is the one on his phone.
