New tricks and a Visit

My son and his wife came to meet Big Boy this weekend. We had a total blast. Think of the moments when you laugh so hard your cry and the more you laugh the more you laugh. We laughed for 3 solid hours, non stop. A lot of the laughter started when I said, How do you take such good photos of your self.
He answered by standing his cell phone up on the TV, and said see, I hold up my hand and when I move it, the timer starts and in 3 seconds takes my photo... see above for my LOOK of concentration.

Will my phone do this? His answer was try it. OOPS! missed

 worked but blurred

WOW! and please know I did not purposely  pose for this shot.
When I took the blurred one I screamed WOW! it worked.  not knowing I had moved my hand twice, and it took the wow all by itself. Bob said he and Michele were howling with laughter at Dan and me playing with our phones. We all got a serious case of the giggles and could not stop, if I repeated what we laughed at it would not be funny. But it Was. If laughter is good for the soul, we are all 4 good for a month. PS.. coming soon to a blog new you, MORE of the Wave The Hand Pics because my Samsung Tablet does it TOOOOOO...… I have had the phone and tablet TWO years, an old dog can learn new tricks...…

Haha...I did not know that either. But then again I don’t know a lot my phone will do. Crazy huh...pay so much for these things and they do way to much for us to learn.

And now I'm clapping and smiling what wonderful selfies.

I'm so glad you had a fantabulous visit.
I bet BB loved the extra attention.
We really didn't think the neck was long enough for a heron but we could not see it very well. Next trail trip I will take my field glasses. I bet it was an Anhinga. I've only seen one of those in my life and that was years ago in S.C.

Of course I had to go straight to my ipad and it doesn't seem as though that app is available to me. What a fab idea though. I can see you're going to have fun with this.

Hello,

I learned something new today.. I wonder if it works with iphones, my phone may not be as smart. Sounds like you had some fun times with your son. How did the BB meeting go? Laughter is good for the soul. Enjoy your day!

Nothing better than laughing with family. I'm so glad you all had a nice time. I didn't know that about taking a photo. I'll have to see if mine does that.

I'm going to try this! I can scrunch my eyes shut and remember your laughter. That was a GOOD day. Oh, I'd love to see a picture of Bob laughing. (Of course, he'd probably have to not realize you were taking his picture. Right?)

There is nothing like laughter, especially with family...the kind you can't explain to anyone.
Those are cherished memories.
Wish my android had that timer app.
You are going to have a blast with it on yours.

I love your WOW shot...and Lorelei taught me something with my phone a bit back. I don't know if all phones do it, but when texting her, or whoever, there where you type your message is a little microphone...hold it down and speak your message and it sends an audio message. LOL So this old dog learned a new trick too.

I am SO happy you had such a fun time! And not the usual Christmas family pictures...instead really fun and funny ones!! My favorite one just for beauty is # 4. You are just glowing and sparkling! I love your non-posed WOW moment, because it does look posed, but it is NOT! In the second picture, you look absolutely incredulous!! What did B.B. think of his family visitors? Looking forward to more selfies!

I would have loved to be a fly on your wall!! You are so much fun! It’s natural that your son would be too!

I love these and it looks like you had a blast. Now I want to know exactly how you do this because I want to try it. I had no idea you could take a picture by waving your hand

A good old fashioned belly laugh is good for the soul.

iPhone SE has the capability to set a 3 or 10 second timer. Waving didn't work. I think the added distance improves selfies. They are less distorted. But then again I tell myself selfies aren't meant to be portraits just quick captures of the moment. (maybe its my short arms--haha)
