Do you name your Cars/Trucks?

1980 Chevy Stepside from internet, not my photos

Trucks above from internet, picture a combo. My truck was identical to the black truck but 2 toned Silver with a Chrome Roll bar, like the blue truck.
Mine was named The Silver Bullet. Aptly named because of the 454 engine, the loud pipes out each side, chrome of course, and 4 in the floor which I KNEW how to use. Out of every stop I made, LOUD AND FAST.

I started selling Real Estate in 1990 and  had to trade it for a FOUR DOOR old person car, that I named UGS. Four door Metallic Brown Pontiac Bonneville. UGLY UGLY named Ugs

Are you picking up the fact my hubby is a General Motors Man?

Bob drove Our  4x4 GMC named JAMES Sr. because the tire were 36 inches and it was the Biggest Car we ever owned. I had to LEAP up to get in it, but at the time I was 40 not an old lady. It would take 3 strong firemen to get me in it now.

I drove James Jr, called Jimmy because it was a normal sized SUV. and of course was a GMC Jimmy. I loved that one also.
Right after the towers went down in 9/11, I was hit my a woman that ran a stop sign, and this is the result. Poor Jimmy rolled 3 times and was towed to the graveyard. I have no photo of Jimmy but these.
Do you name your cars?

You are blessed to be alive!! Yes, we name our cars. We have a new car now, a Rav4. Phil calls it Ravi, I call it RAV. Our Mazda was Zuma, remember their zoom zoom commercials?

No, I haven't named cars, and I dont know why...but I drove a stick shift for many years, taught my oldercdaughter to drive one...I didnt teach Lo's mom but think she can...you should see her truck! And that girl could parallel park a semi.. no joke, you should see her back up weaving between obstacles, etc. I had a truck when I met Roger ..was a used Ford...the first vehicle I bought myself. It had 3-on-the-tree!

Oh my, that last one is scary. Were you injured when this happened? I can't imagine rolling in a car. SCARY.
Oh and no, I've never named any of my vehicles.

That sounded very scary and was by the looks of your car. I haven’t ever named any of our cars.

Oh, I remember you telling me about having to crawl out of that wreck. Imagine if you were in a VW Beetle? :(((( I'm glad you explained the roll bar. When I saw this on my phone's tiny screen it looks like an inflatable blue stick man in the back!
Since Cesare (Covette-the-lemon-car) I've not named my car(s). Perhaps my aging Camry deserves one after all these years? I'm gonna give it some thought!

No, I never thought to name any of our cars.
My first one was a cute little white Nash Rambler manual.
I loved that car and as with all of our cars we literally drove it until it would go no longer.
Great memories of it and everywhere it took me before we were married and then after marriage it served us well.
My folks bought it from a friend (typical little old lady story...but it was true) hardly any miles on it. I think it was a 1960 model. Folks didn't want me riding the Grayhound bus from San Francisco to our home 20 miles away. I had come so close to being accosted by 3 gang guys while waiting for the bus to come at 9:30 after work. Only the grace of God and my guardian angel saved me that night.

Jimmy was a good rig, looks like it saved your life.....rolling three times and you walked away..Pretty impressive! I don't name my cars but my mom does. She has named everyone he has ever owned. Kinda cracks me up. My husband is a GMC guy I don't really care as long as its a good car. I'v had a Plymouth Voyager, Toyota Corolla, Chevy Astro Van, Subaru Tribeca, GMC Acadia and I'm currently driving a Ford Explorer.

Yes and no on naming our vehicles. I have a 007 Jeep Liberty that we refer to as "Libby" and my husband has a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee that he sometimes refer to by its initials of GC. Too bad about the demise of your "Jimmy" and hopefully only it and not you were injured.

Wow, that was quite a roll-over...hope no one was seriously injured. I have never named a vehicle but we had a 1959 Ford that my husband named "Betsy". Hugs
