My Bucket List

My Bucket List

1. Wooden Bucket
2. Mop Bucket
3. Plastic Bucket
4. Slop Bucket

Did I make a pour decision? Does my Bucket List pail in comparison to yours?

Have you ever used one of these? Had one in your home? We had one in my school in KY with a shared dipper to drink from.

I went to visit WM again and found the Charity that was connected to the tire wishing well.
It is Children's Miracle Network Hospital. comes up on the cash register as CMNH to choose what to give

So it's not the one I thought! I have seen lots of different ads and fund raisers for this one. The pump is pretty, almost like a decoration.

Ah, so no making wishes but filling funding deficit for treatment. Had not heard of it, but it appears to be solely a North American charity. Very necessary I suspect. It gets a three out of four-star rating for ensuring at least 80% of the collections go to purpose - so yeah, fill that well!

Love the wee water pump - not something that ever appeared in UK schools! YAM xx

My grandparents had one outdoors by the windmill. And one at the kitchen sink (and one on the back stoop where the farming clothes & boots were taken off at the end of the day) i remenber how sweet spring water tasted! We also have one now in our backyard for decoration

Oh, that's the one. I have heard of that charity.
Your bucket list is about the sam as mine. I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't have a big bucket list of things I want to do.
One of my grandparents had one of those pumps. Not in the house but outside and I do remember using it.

Hello,

I love those old buckets and pumps. Sounds like a great charity, helping the children's hospital. I hope you have a great day!

Oh yes...I've used one in my youth. We would visit kinfolks that lived in the country and that's what they had at the kitchen sink. And drawing water from the well to drink out of a common metal cup was standard too! Back in the good ole days. I wasn't a country girl though! lol I lived in a small town. Fun post!

Yes I've used one but never had one in a home.

Yep, Tom's got him one of those bucket lists. My grandparents had one of those on their farm in SW Minnesota … not nearly as pretty as this! Love the in-your-face-red pump and the nuance around the rim of the enamel bowl.

Nope, I didn't see anything for the Miracle Network at our WM.

Our Costco takes donations for The Children's Miracle Network and posts all the receipts for it over the wall.
A worthy cause.
I guess I am too much of a city girl so I have never used a pump for my water.
The red color and the scruffy pail are charming. I could see it in my backyard.
Down 5 more ounces this morning...I guess slow and steady win the race.....I will surely celebrate when the number goes below 160...

I remember using similar pumps at a few campgrounds I visited in my youth :-)!

I have been the proud owner of an old fashioned hand pump. The first home Jake and I lived in had one in the kitchen. It was our only way to get water out of a cistern.

You made me laugh out loud with your bucket full of puns. Has anybody younger than our generation ever seen or heard of a slop bucket. We never had a pump in our home, but the water supply for my oldest aunt's family was a similar pump in their back yard, They would pump a bucket full of water, carry it to a small back porch off the kitchen and hang it on a hook high in an area safe from animals and small grubby children. Yes, I was one-- of the children, not the animals. A communal dipper hung on the side of the bucket.

Love your bucket list! And yes I have seen pumps before, but not one that pretty red. I missed the rest, which happens when you don't read blogs every day. Sorry!

I didn’t have one but I know hubby’s grandparents must have out there on the homestead. They are so popular now in the antique stores. You are a f(p)unny lady. I want a bucket list and I would add your good sense of humor :)
