Toadstools on Nature Friday

cell pic no flash

Important News Flash! if you stupidily burn the roof of your mouth when you take a bite of PIZZA and find you are in PAIN!  Drink MILK... found the solution on internet and it works.

Embarrassing Moment. I woke up Saturday AM with a big blob of blood on the side of my nose just under the eye. Seems I scratched it with my fingernails WHILE I WAS SLEEPING and did not know it until I saw me brushing my teeth in the mirror and thought What is that?
I might need to put mittens on my hands at bedtime, like we used to do for babies to protect them from their fingernails.
I knew we regress back to acting like toddlers as we age, but THIS is ridiculous!

Are the mushrooms in your yard? They are perfect little parasols. Just right for shading the fairies. I like the photo without the flash best. I suppose if anyone ate them, they would die. I guess mitten time is coming for me soon, too.

Those are pretty mushroom 🍄 pictures. We had pizza tonight. I have had my mishaps but not tonight. I hope your mouth heals quickly. And ouch on the scratch. I hope that heals quickly too. Do you keep your fingernails fairly long?

Kind of makes you wonder what else we do while we're sleeping doesn't it?
Cool pictures of the mushrooms. Can't decide if I like it better with flash or without

The first image is perfect if purely looking at nature -but I have to say the flash adds character and drama to the little scene - the second shot here is my personal fave! YAM xx

Thank you for the info on a burned mouth. I've done that one too many times.
Love all the photos of the toad stools.
Oh I do remember trying to keep Marlu's nails short when she was an infant for that very reason. Cutting her nails was good practice for trimming kitty nails. Both babies and kitties are squirmy and I always worried about cutting too short

Great series of images. Fungi are fascinating - and often difficult to identify.

I have scratched my face at night too. And I am surprised there are Toadstools in that hot temperature.

Hi Sandra, I love both cell pics. You reminded me immediately of how babies would scratch their faces and we put mittens on them! I'm trying to access your Four Paws blog but keep logging out. I should be grateful I'm back to blogging! Missed ya girl!

Absolutely love the mushrooms. I use to collect mushroom pictures, etc before I got married. I never ate mushrooms at the time. I hated them but I love them now. I don't normally have milk in the house but that's a great idea. I burnt the roof of my mouth last week. Sorry about the scratch by your eye. I never used those mittens on my kids.

Mushrooms are fascinating! I used to tole paint them back in the 80’s.
Goodness, your fingernails must be sharp! I don’t bite mine anymore but I do clip them short.

Yes, I think we regress to toddlers at times..HaHa....Sorry about your wounds though.
Our lawn guys were here bright and early this morning and did a fantastic job trimming all of our bushes and two trees that were getting out of hand. It sure is worth every penny for them to be here each week.
We saw one button mushroom (really large) in our lawn yesterday but now, thanks to the lawn guys, it's gone.
Have a great weekend.

OUCH! I wouldn't have known that about treating the cheese burns with milk.
I suspect I'm a sleeping scratcher, too. My head tells me I need to leave mosquito bites, etc. alone, but I refuse to be responsible for what my subconscious does.
The detail on your first photo is so acute! Wow.
I've begun noticing little white mushroom heads in our yard and trying to keep Macie Ann from chewing on them. There's little I remember from my Brownies days, but something stands out: Our leader pointed out the wild mushrooms and said the more colorful the head, the more poisonous it is.

Those toadstools look very delicate. I have a sensitive mouth and don't like eating or drinking anything very hot. However, that's a good tip about the milk which would be very soothing.

You must have been having quite the dream! And yes, I have burnt the top of my mouth eating pizza but I must say, I'll be suffering in in pain as I don't like milk, dang it sounds like a great solution too!! Your mushroom pictures are pretty fascinating, I wouldn't be surprised if some fairies are hiding amongst them!

Not only milk...but ice cream does the trick too. LOVE THOSE PHOTOS. Reminds me of the Hobbit...I don't know why.
