Nature Friday-Back Yard

Leaning backward so far it hurt my neck, I aimed at the orange trumpet vine flowers and OOPS!

2nd Try, I got it. The blur at the top of the photo is power line to our house, the southern trumpet vine is a  creeper that  has climbed 30 feet into the pine tree.

Never Mind, You Know Who is hacking the bottom of the vine. It will die and then he can pull it out  of tree and off the fence. With the rain and HEAT the vine is taking over our jungle.

UPDATE: Bob is much better, the antibiotics have kicked in, we still don't know what they are treating but he is eating and sleeping again. Thanks for your prayers. These photos are from 2 weeks ago. Lab work normal, x-ray normal, urine showed bacterial infection, no idea where the infection is.

So glad Bob is doing better but I sure hope they can find whats causing the infection. I didn't know those trumpet plants can be so obnoxious but they sure have pretty flowers!

Phew, such a relief that Bob is better, I had him on my mind all day yesterday. I know UTI's can make you feel really ill so hopefully that was the problem. I love that trumpet flower, shame its so intrusive.

The trumpet flower is lovely, but best not to have in your yard. Great news about Bob! Wishing him a speedy recovery and you both a restful weekend.

Yes...yes. Trumpet vines are very invasive!

And, so good to hear of Bob's improving.

Too bad that trumpet flower wasn't growing closer to the ground to make it easier to get it's picture.
So glad Bob is feeling better.

Hello,

I love the trumpet flowers, they are beautiful. Hubby is upset to read about how invasive and how deep their roots grow. Enjoy your Friday, happy weekend!

What pretty trumpet vine flowers...I am noticing some of them down here in Texas too!

So happy to hear Bob is feeling better. Continued prayers that they can pin down where the infection is!

THANK GOD on Bob's results!!!
You had me going for a minute with that 'oops'! So glad you didn't tumble over backwards. (Anymore when I stand in the back yard and tilt my head to look at the stars it feels like I'm going to do just that.)
Is that vine like our kudzu? I tried taking a hoe to it … and it just snickered. Tom has to use an axe.

True answers to praying friends...I'm so glad Bob is doing better.
Scary times for sure.
Your humidity, rain and heat sure do make a jungle in your yard.
Our lawn guys just left and the yard looks terrific.
They trimmed some trees too.
I'm so grateful for that...otherwise it just wouldn't get done.
Progress report...2 pounds from my self appointed goal!!
Having Dave recovering has also been a good thing for me...no snacks, sugar and mostly veggies and protein.
Yippee for me.

I am so glad Bob is okay - I go to a bible study with a nurse and she always talked about UTI's in older women - it causes huge issues.

Sometimes a hidden tooth issue can be the culprit as under a filling there could be a flare up. It happened to hubby not long ago as he has managed to keep most of his teeth, An X-ray during a checkup gave the clue and like Bob he started with similar symptoms. Hubby had to get a second stronger antibiotic to clear up the issue.
So glad Bob is on the mend. Relief for you for sure,
That weed is really aggressive. The flower up hi is pretty though.

Drugs can work wonders and glad they have worked for Bob. Since he is havking away at the plant, you know he must be feeling better.

Good news about Bob and I hope he is all well very soon. One of my neighbors has a trumpet vine in a tree. They are pretty when they bloom but they will take over where they can. Hugs sweet Sandra

That's wonderful new on Bob. Praying it stays that way and that the infection is gone for good.
