Magical Products

Most of you will know if I say the words "Smokey eye" what it means. As in make up the eyes with a Smokey look.  Sometimes I will watch a tutorial on the SELLING Channels, just to bore myself to sleep.
They bring out the eye liner or mascara and show us how to make our eyes look beautiful..

I watch and wonder if they could make MY eyes look like that., NO is the answer.

One of the sellers uses models 40, 50, 60, 70 and says EVEN a woman of 70 can be beautiful. Have you seen the woman?  Sharp chin, no sags, Big beautiful eyes, lovely hair.. REALLY? Can I come and get you to make ME UP?  if so, I might pay 80 dollars for you make up..

Also, when they show magical shampoo, or hair products, they use older women, young women, short hair, medium hair, LONG hair..... Beautiful women, and he runs his hands through their hair and like magic it falls into place, and don't even ask what the hair products cost...

I have never seen a double chin, small eyed, thin hair woman get that magical touch... Just sayin

I WANT REAL MaGic!  when the products will work on ME!

Hee hee I'm with ypu. They use beautiful people and photo editing to make those beautiful eyes NOT their product.

Smoky eyes? Make-up. I guess you'd say I have natural smoky eyes. No, wait. It's just dark circles & sleep deprived.

I'm almost 66 years old. My eyes are slightly hooded now. That smokey look occasionally looks interesting on younger women, but on me, it looks like I got in a fist fight and lost.

False eyelashes won't stick to my eyelids anymore and end up coming halfway off and looking like I have fly fishing lures partially attached to my eyelids. The last time I wore them, I had to surreptitiously pull them the rest of the way off of my eyelids just a short time into the evening. When I got home, where I could see my eyes up close in a mirror, part of the eyelash glue was still on my lids in a most unattractive manner, like maybe I had just gotten over conjunctivitis. I pretty much look better without eye makeup these days.

Hello,

They do use beautiful young models. I wonder about all the products they advertise on TV. Do they really work, I need some magic wrinkle eraser, LOL. I can not put makeup on my eyes, because of allergies.
Have a happy day!

When I turned 60 I stopped coloring my hair to let my wisdom show. These days a little blush and lipstick to brighten the otherwise 'monochrome' natural look.

I'm laughing so hard at Susie's comment.
Along with damage from smoking and the sun, I inherited my mother and grandmother's wrinkles and hooded eyes. Probably a good thing Tom's eyesight is failing. :) I'm afraid watching those videos would make me terminally depressed. But! I'm mighty glad you wrote this!

I don't see an eye I like on that page!! Don't like all that black and fake eyelashes. I like just a smoky eye shadow if anything. When I wore contacts I would use a wee bit of shadow and mascara. Now I just use foundation and blush on my face an call it D O N E. I did for sure enjoy this post

HaHa...Magic is only on TV....
There is nothing for sagging jowls, crows feet and the many "laugh" lines that I can believe in!
I guess what you see is what you get...I do wish I had taken better care of my skin when I was younger though.
Maybe a few of the wrinkles would be less noticeable.
At my age there is no Magic Wand!!

You are SO right!!!!! Plus even if it would make me look better, these pros do it in seconds. It would take me hours to perfect how to do it, with lots of erasing.

All the promises in the world cannot change the fact that we are getting older and those years show up on our faces and everywhere .

I've noticed that all the older models they use always look way younger, they don't have saggy wrinkly skin. I guess when you've got money to burn you can afford to keep your sking from looking old.
As for the smokey eye, I'm not a fan of the look. I rarely wear makeup any more and when I do it's very minimal.

Happy New Year.
I never wear any products ever as my allergies always get in the way. I am all natural and no cosmetics in my bag. Just nail files and creams for moisture I’m my hands. All I tolerate is a small bit of Nivea. Not much of a person purchasing beauty products. I guess I saved lots of money over my lifetime. Oddly hubby has over the past 6 years bough expensive creams and skinny n toning gadgets. It seems to have him believe he will look youthful.Hahaha
