Buffet is OPEN on Nature Friday

Brown anole

We sat in the sun by the pool one day last week and I saw Bob's Pet that feeds at Bob's Lizard Buffet, run out of the ferns and grab something Big.. I ran over to see and she was eating a worm that was almost as big as she was. She was so tiny, it was hard to get a good photo..

Bob Buffet is created as he walks around in the pool, and skims what ever is floating on top of the water with a net, he bangs the net on the concrete to make it fall out.

At the first sound of the tap on the deck, the 3 lizards dart out and peer over the lip of the pool, waiting for The Buffet of Bugs...

We get  much enjoyment watching them, watching him and waiting for the buffet dinner bell.

Wow, what a story! He has trained the lizards to come to a buffet! The edit does show it much more clearly. Just look at those spikes along it's back! truly prehistoric!

I cannot imagine he has any enemies that eat him, due to those big spikes! They would rip your throat.

Well they know where the hot spot is for dinner. That's funny that they know the banging of the net means food.

LOL LOL Bob's Buffet.
Is BB bothered by the Anole?
Just got in from walking...OUTSIDE the mall. It is deserted too.
There are a few cafes who can do curbside by meeting customers at the door.

That is so cute! I love the idea of the lizards recognizing Bob's 'dinner bell.' Have you ever thought about writing a children's book featuring these backyard denizens?

That's so neat. Few things are better than watching nature. Unfortunately Samson ate all our lizards. I would save them, but they would come back. After eating them he would get sick, but did he learn? Of course not and now there are none. We'll see when summer comes, but I think they are gone. They are called fence lizards and like to climb fences. There are many others and probably more of them out in nature, but they don't come by.

That's amazing..I love Bob's Dinner Bell and the results.
Fascinating. Its still too chilly and damp for our little lizards to be scooting about. We don't see too many any more. I think the neighborhood cats have found their Buffet in our yard...(:0(

That is so cool. These critters are obviously trained to come at the right sound.
