Sheltered in Place

We are following the Shelter in Place, which means Stay Home if you are old, Don't go out unless you need food or have and emergency
I cleaned house, while Bob worked on his garage, Two hours later, we figured we had done enough to make up for exercise at the YMCA, which is closed until further notice. Also Not Tops meeting until further notice.
I will be sharing different things we do to pass the time while incarcerated sheltering in place.

since it was over 80 degrees in the backyard and there was no one to keep our distance from, we decided to Party in the POOL....  which was fun after my body became numb from the cold water..
I am laughing because I took my selfie with my Nikon camera, by taking blind shots with the camera backwards, aimed at me.

Have things changed for you? Are you staying home and following Guidelines? What are you doing while staying home?

What joy you have brought to such a terrible week! This is the best picture of you I have ever seen...un-posed and just laughing, having FUN. You look so joyful. And great pics of Bob. This is the way we should all live, even amidst this. It is getting harder to remember the last time I had fun or laughed. Your attitude is something to aspire to.

I love those pictures too! Andy and I are avoiding crowds -- going to the grocery store only when it's not crowded, and he still goes up to the land every day. That's not sheltering in place, but it is still isolating ourselves socially.

The eye clinic treating his macular degeneration has canceled all appointments for a while, so that's worrisome. The waiting room was often packed, but it's scary to put the treatment off, since he was doing so well.

Anyway, fingers crossed for us all!

Are you married to Santa Claus? LOL
I wish you the very best and stay healthy!

Life is pretty much the same as always. I'm still going to work, still doing the same things I've always done. The only difference is that I can't go to the places that they've closed.

It's not much different here. I go birding. No social contact in that aspect. The only thing that has changed much is the fact we're reading & watching more news, than ever before.

A great way to cool down and have fun together! It does my heart good to see your happy photos. I hope you continue to enjoy pool-time frolics with Hubby Bob :)

We are staying home a bit more...I am sewing, and I will start a puzzle if bored. I even think Roger would enjoy just a drive through the country now...just to be out and about. Where before he had no interest unless there were people involved.

Hello,

Yesterday we drove to the bike trail and walked, I can stand being stuck in the house. At home, I do my blogging and I read a lot. Cute photos of you and Bob in the pool! Take care and stay well. Have a great day!

My B is watching 3 Stooges and we are walking outside every day...
Might be close to 80 here today. WE will go to Harris Teeter to see what they have that we might need. I hope some TP
Looking forward to your escapades while keeping social distancing

It sure has meant some changes in how we plan our day but I'm glad for the extra time to do things around the house. My hubby is going to work in his garage today...lol. Yesterday we went for a long hike and saw only 2 other people on the trail....walking their 2 dogs. LOTS of birds and it felt great to be outside. Now I have photos to work on and blogs to visit! I don't mind staying home as long as we can get out on the trails to hike....so far so good! Sweet hugs to you both! I wish my hair was as white as Bob's! Does he give beauty tips?

I like the sun and cool water - nothing better. But I hope Bob uses sun screen. We are staying in. Maybe getting some food to go once in awhile. My problems is we are multi-generational here - meaning that it is hard for Kelly to stay in and almost impossible for Andy. I think he is finally getting that this is real and serious. Kids have a hard time 'getting' this. Sandie

Methinks the Florida Chamber of Commerce needs to award y'all royalties!

I've not resorted to deep-cleaning! ...But neither are we staying inside all the time … having exciting excursions to Winn-Dixie and Tom's tobacco shop. I've got stuff waiting at Books-A-Million down in M'gomery, so that's on our agenda today. At least gas prices have dropped to $1.83 so that's something. I used to have to fill my trunk once each week, and now it's once/month. Small victories.

My life is anyway fairly solitary... however, shopping is definitely going to be on an as-needs basis. Have hired a car so can scoot back to The Hutch for the weekend; self-isolation transportation! If it wasn't for the need to make sure that it is still standing and to pick up two envelopes I know will be lying and requiring my attention I wouldn't be going. But needs must...

Yesterday I installed a new HEPA filter in the resident Dirt Devil. Today I may vacuum the kitchen floor. I'm also going to clear space on the dining-room table for a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Playing the piano a little more, reading more articles in the Washington Post, cuddling on couch with husband and Dilly Dog. Guess which one has softer ears?

Staying home is normal state of being so not a new experience. Continuing to being creative with photos and videos and sharing on blogspot, FB, and Instagram.

I 'worked from home' prior to retiring. Currently I am conducting a financial church audit 'from home' which feels normal as well.

Our 'big' grocery stores are up and down with what is stocked and we are fortunate to have small grocers within 10 minutes too.

Environmentally the three diffusers throughout the house are armed with Eucalyptus and Lavender essential oils for their antiviral possibilities.

We are "sheltering in place" mostly too. We did go to WinCo yesterday and bought some groceries that should see us through several weeks at least. There were people there about our age but everyone just went about their business...no overbuying or hoarding that I could see. I saw a lot of Moms buying things for kids lunches and such. It's so hard to be told NO you can't do something...there is a tiny bit of rebel in me and I know there is in Dave. We don't want to get this virus or to unwittingly spread the germs so WE WILL BEHAVE...and get some things done around the house.
There was frost on the roofs this morning ...so it's not quite pool weather...but we don't have one anyhoo..(:0)
Will try to walk around the block later today. Guess I can take a few dull photos around the yard or something. I sure don't feel motivated !!

I thought Bob had taken that photo. It is a great selfie and Bob. How nice that you have the pool. Great exercise there too. We are also sheltering in place. We did our shopping at CostCo and another trip at our local store before all this became serious news. Now our son has told us to stay put, which we are doing anyway, and he will do our shopping for us. I don’t want to put him at risk either, even though he is obviously younger. We are also exploring Peapod and have sent for Cornish pasties from a place we have given custom to ever since they opened. It is a small business and we want to give it our support. We all win that way and hopefully it will keep them from going under as a lot of regular customers are doing the same, and in the owner’s words he feels humbled by all the support. A lot of places are advertising home delivery and telling us all they are following strict protocols due to the virus. 70 degrees up here and then it will get cold again. Stay safe and in place :)

We are staying home. Cancelled all appointments which were just follow ups. We have been having rain for the last two weeks. We definitely have enough food for several weeks so we have no plans to go out although Mark was thinking of going for a car ride!

First off, can I just say I love your header and how you always change it to fit the seasons. You are a talented girl, Ive had the same one for years. You take social distancing to a super fun level and even braving the cold water while taking a selfie haha, what a gal you are!! Our town has shut down but most stores are still open, its more like the restaurants are closed other than take out and dang, the gym I go to has also closed. I can handle all this just fine, but when my granddaughter is born, that's when I'm gonna feel the affect. The hospital will not allow visitors and I want to make sure after the baby is born and they are home that it's safe to visit. It's definitely crazy times for sure!!!

Col pictures. Up until this afternoon, I have had to go out to drive the bus, but now the school is closed for at least three weeks. I plan on doing some cleaning, some baking and hopefully go for a few nature rides.
