Seriously Serene

Photo Excess! YES! my finger just clicks away without control. I still love my cups. Speaking of Beauty.
I have always suffered from insecurity about the way I look, from birth to now. This week I went to have a dermatology Annual skin exam. The PA was new to me which makes me nervous. She was wonderful and found nothing to alarm us. She said you are fine, see you in a year unless you have an issue.
As she left, she said "you have beautiful skin and you certainly do not look your age. Plus you are funny, really funny. I enjoyed meeting you.
She made my day!
for naysayers that are thinking it was a young thing talking down to an old thing, this PA was very close to my age... Old things don't lie, right?

What a wonderful story! And she was so right! All the pictures in the collage are beautiful, but this first big one is a work of art. This photo is one of your best. It is totally amazing to me, each and every element of it. It is just perfect. I was actually quite stunned at first sight. I have no artistic talent at all, but just love spotting it in others. I'll tell you just how many things in this ONE photo I love! The wonderful shadows on the blinds: they are beautiful, and would make a great picture in themselves. But here, they serve just as a backdrop for everything else. Then how the blinds shadows fall on the glass table. The ever so delicate touches of color amid the black and white. Just enough colors of shiny green and sunlit yellow and pink. Not too bright or too dull. Then the clear mugs that match the table. Each element in the right place and the perfect color.

I think she was right in every way...you're talents, your caring, your youthful look (at attitude) shines for us. And those that don't see it are blind.

No matter what her age was, she spoke the truth. You don't look your age and you are funny. You make me laugh all the time with your posts.
Kind words like that can really make your day though. More people should spread kindness.

I liked that! You are beautiful, inside as well as out. She didn’t have to say anything, but not only did she tell you the truth, she must have a good heart and recognized another. Loved the photo also. Keep snapping :)

Good for you...and glad there were no issues. And she was right about the fun...I think you bring everyone a lot of joy. One thing, my dermatologist could never say that about my skin!

PS did you tell her you have a huge fan base and you are Queen of Puns?

She just said what all the rest of us already knew! It’s so nice when people express what they are thinking - if it’s positive and uplifting! I think things a lot.....and for the past 15 years I’ve tried to voice the compliments to others that I have in my head. A few weeks ago Lillian and I were eating lunch at La Madeleine and I sat at the table admiring the back of a ladies head. Later we both happened to be in the restroom at the same time and I told her how much I admired her hair. It made her feel good and me too!
Love you, Sandra! You are more special than you will ever know this side of glory! You are going to be so surprised when you get to heaven and see how many people have been blessed by you and your wonderful sense of humor!

What a lovely compliment from the PA, well deserved. Glad that the skin checkup went well. Your sunny attitude shone through during the appointment which is not an easy medical session. I'm always anxious about my skin and greatly relieved when I get a good report. Beautiful collage of those mugs. A nice name for the brand.

You my Dear Friend are truly One in a Million.
I am so glad we have met via Blogging.
Sandra you are ageless and your skin is so lovely. I have a lot of envy for that.
Beautiful Serene photos. I think I need some perky flowers on my table today.
Its getting ready to rain pretty soon..so no walk around the block for us. Not that we will dissolve but its unpleasant to be wet and cold too.
I really need to go to the bank today or tomorrow so that's our BIG unsafe outing. If I could do the business on line I would but this needs to be done in person...going to dress in my" Hassmat Suit" and face the music...HaHa
Take care and I'm glad the exam went well for another year.

What a super, unsolicited compliment! (It sounds as if your 'insincerity radar' must be as finely-tuned as mine.) Having met you in person I agree, your complexion is beautiful.
Regretfully, sun damage is something I never took seriously. Congrats on the A-OK check-up!

PS - This tableau looks serene, indeed!

Old people don't lie - why would she - she didn't have to say anything.
Plus you do look good!

Oh that is awesome. It's always good to hear others say pleasant things like that, especially when they are true, like in your case.

Well there you go! How nice it is to hear a compliment. It's not often someone will speak up and say something positive like that. Im sure you made her day as well, you are very beautiful and funny, she was probably sizing you up wishing she was more like you. Your cups are very nice, I'm thinking a nice cup of hot chocolate would be in order and we could sit around while you tell me all about your secrets to youthful skin.
