In a prior post, you saw a short video that included this silver box. Several wanted to know what was in it. The box is part of our TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) contest. Each week, if we lose weight, we write our name on a ticket and put it in this box. At the end of the contest period, a name is drawn and the prize is 10.00. UPdate per Anni's question below... The contest last 6 weeks, the funds are from our account. each person pays 4.00 a month as a member. That covers our rent for the church and prizes and insurance.
I bought the box at Dollar Tree and a bag of stickers.

That last quote is so great. Both yesterday and this morning I was discouraged -- discovering I've only lost a tenth of a pound. Losing weight's not the quick and dirty win it was in my 20's and 30's.

This early morning was delicious. It rained yesterday and everything smelled so fresh and clean.
The little flitty birds were having a Sunday Praise Service in the backyard while I was out there with Snicker "doing her thing". Of course I had my phone inside...because I thought I was coming right back in..Missed a great photo opp.
Now the clouds have come back in and I think its going to spritz again. I wore her out playing with the ball and her wearing her nose out sniffing our big yard. Now she's sawing logs under my feet.
Wish we could keep Daylight Savings all year for the lighter evenings but it sure fouls up you Early Birds...Sorry.
