Palm Fruit

They are about the size of golf balls. THEY say edible, but not for me.
This has been in drafts for weeks, waiting for me to get desperate for a post.

I am Desperate
We love our brown anoles.. Lizards is what we call them.
Click Here if you like Lizards
We name ours and talk to them, when we get the mail out of this box, we apolgize to Leon for disturbing him! He looks right in my face when I talk to him. Yes he is a HIM, we can tell the difference.

Meet Mail box Leon, he lives on and in and around the mailbox. We have guard lizards, not dogs.

Wow, that s so cool!! And lizards can run so FAST! I guess the mailbox makes a nice little home for hm. Nothing desperate about this post, for sure. Plus I have never seen or heard of Palm Fruit.

I collected small palm fruits and put them in a pot... think that was not the proper way to raise a palm tree... since two year nothing happened... I can give up now, right?

This reminds me of the Australian Blue-tongue skinks, which have a similar territorial and friendly demeanour. Great for keeping the snails under control, too! YAM xx

No offense to Leon but I think I would be a bit freaked out to open my mailbox and find him looking out at me.

I am afraid of Lizards and I think I will run faster than them …
Hugs for my brave lady!

It was fun reading about your lizards(and Cuban tree frogs). I like lizards and frogs, but if I was you I'd definitely be checking my swimsuits very carefully before bringing them in the house and especially before putting them on. A frog or lizard would sure put a lot of pep in your paddle if one managed to stay in your suit as you put it on.

I love the lizards, too! It sounds super cruel, but I remember as a child they would sell the itty-bitty ones in a box at the County fair. Daddy would always buy me one -- much to my mother's horror. Because try as we might, it would escape and get on the dark green curtains, turn green (of course), then couldn't be found.
They were everywhere around our home in Arizona, and we both thought we wouldn't see any here in Alabama. Ha! I've tried and tried to get a good picture, but the cell phone just does do it. The only thing, our dogs go absolutely batty when they see one outside the sunroom; I pray they won't ever catch one.

Absolutely love your Guard Lizard... he really likes to have you visit with him.
I agree...sometimes it's hard to know what to post..great pix of the palm fruit.
Hope your day goes well. Does it seem strange to have no TOPS get together today??

I miss our Texas anoles! Dory used to love chasing them(and a few may have lost their tails)!

When I had the blue tits using my balcony as their front porch, I kept apologizing to them every time I happened to intrude on "their" space, too... ;)

I somehow can’t wrap my head around the idea of having lizards around all the time.

I like our lizards although I haven't talked to any lately. Skye loves chasing them around the yard. We have a lot this year. I did not know that any palm trees have fruit.
