Programmable ME on Wordy Wed

I have shopped every Saturday morning for 35 years at 6 a.m.. It's very hard to break that habit!

I switched my weekly shopping to Tuesday at 6 am, for the past 4 months in order to use Walmart Seniors only Shopping hour...

I'm confused all the time. I get up on Saturday and I think I have to go shopping!

I shop on Tuesday and then I come home and all day long I keep thinking it's Saturday.

Saturday rolls around quickly from Tuesday and again I think, its Saturday hurry up and get ready!

Sometimes I think Monday is Tuesday and say to Bob while we are driving to the YMCA, I will miss Senior shopping today. He answers, no you will not, it is Monday.

Another day we were driving to Y and it was a TUESDAY, I forgot and made the reservation for the lap lane on TUESDAY!

I can hear you saying, Just go another day!  NOPE! Senior shopping is no traffic, no cars in parking lot, no people in the store, all the few that are shopping are wearing masks and glare at me if I get to close.

PLUS! last week, I got there at 2 minutes after 6, the line was already inside, and the lady at the door who taps her Ipad to see how many are in the store, said to me... Shopping is for 65 and over!

Really? I have been there for 4 months, same me, same her, same clothes and same mask.. I answered with a smile she could not see, I am 75, does that count?  I FELT YOUNG for a few minutes.

PS if you are wondering why I wear the same clothes, I figure why get germs on more than one set of clothing?  I just wear and wash mask and clothing AFTER which I let them hang in the hot sun all day.

I TOLD you how beautiful you look! Now maybe you will believe me! I can see how easily this can mess with your mind. With us never going anywhere, it is hard to know what any day is.

We used to phone our daughter every Sunday night, but now it's Saturday evening because she's an hour later than before. I'm always confused about what day it is now, so you have my complete sympathy.

Any time my schedule changes at work I'm always messed up on what day of the week it is.

I don't have a set schedule at all, but, half the time I don't know what day it is (and don't care)...that's the joy of retirement. For me only, I guess.

Good thing I have my phone volume off from comments above me about the mouth? I'd have heart failure when it opened. I've learned my lesson long ago to have sound off!

Oh boy do I agree. We have decided there are 6 Saturdays in a week and 1 Sunday.
I wash my masks every time I wear them
Love the moving mouth. LOL

I am confused all the time...sometimes in the same day I will have to reason out what day it is, even with looking at my watch or looking at the date on the computer and comparing it to a calendar.

Woo-hoo girl ... nearly denied entrance for looking too young! Were you floating on air the rest of the day?
More and more I'm forgetting what day of the week it is. Last night, for instance, I nearly got in an argument with Tom, believing it was Monday. Then he just gives me this 'look.' Uh-oh. There've been other instances of forgetting the names of commonplace things that's beginning to scare me......

Well, my dear friend...it sounds like all of us are in the same boat..Day-blur...for sure.
Sundays seem so long...sometimes I still ask Dave if it is still Sunday..HaHa
I really try to remember that the garbage goes out Monday night..that helps keep the days slightly straight.
I seem to have stirred up a hornets nest with my post about the tree topping. We wouldn't have done it if we were'nt careful and had good tools. My Hubby is a lot like Linda's Hubby LD..fearless and competent. Project complete. Not even any aching muscles.
Our days aren't as structured as yours but we seem to get done what needs to get done.
Take care Sandra.

Oh my! I do tend to get my days mixed up, now that I no longer go to work.

I love those lips you young thing.
Hey does anyone really know what day it is? Isn't that the name of a song?

I told you you were looking young and pretty. I'm with you about the confusion and I'm so glad to hear that I'm not alone. I never know what day it is any longer. I keep my ASPCA calendar close by at all times. If I'm in the kitchen I have to look at the dogs' medicine by day of week thingy to know if its' Tuesday or Wednesday. I just did that today. It said Wednesday, because Tuesday's slot was empty.

So that's what life becomes when you turned 80!

Now that is a real nice compliment. I'm still thinking of that talking mouth ;)

Well I definitely like the compliment you got. I'm usually pretty good on the days of the week but I can see why you have been thrown off. Glad they have a senior day for you to shop.
