My Personal Emojis

If you think it is strange that a woman that is over 3/4 of a century old, is playing with these things, I can explain it.

Life is HARD!  Being Old is HARD!  Having a hubby that is even older with health issues is HARDER! A scary diagnoses of Congestive Heart Failure on my beloved dog, Big Boy is Hard!

When I PLAY with the avatars and emojis and text people and create silly post like this one, it is an Escape. Like going on a cruise and getting away from it all. The good news is I do it on my phone, I cruise the phone and when Bob talks to me, I don't even know it!   HE SAYS that is HARD.

Above left side is a 3 emoji text I sent to a friend. Say it with emoji only... the other two are a couple of my favorites. They are animated in text, the bottom one waves, the top the halos wobble.
Below are just a few that I have to choose from... I love emojis and am new to them. Just since I got my new phone.

Below Lower right is my "personal supposed to look like me avatar."

they had no old people, no short hair, this means this is not for old people to use, right?
I say who cares????

This has been in my drafts for over a week.. and since I created this you have seen post of
my avatar Play Time.
WHO KNOWS WHAT Will POP UP NEXT?
Later Gators YOU MIGHT be surprised tomorrow

You sure don't have to explain to ME! I think it is a sign of intellectual curiosity to try out new things. It keeps us young, and our brains working well. And since I have zero creativity, Ilike seeing your creations, which I would never have thought of. But if they had no short hair, and no older people, how did you create YOU?

Since I spend a great deal of time playing, I don't think it's strange at all. I'm with Mary Oliver, "If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happened better than all the riches or power in the world...." Hurray for play, hurray for joy!

I like to think of it as, even when we grow old(er), we still carry all our other ages inside... And it's a Good Thing if we can continue to play and explore and create, never mind what "genre" we happen to like.

Hello,

You need some fun in your life! Any thing that helps relieve stress and take your mind off the bad stuff. I like your avatars and emojis.

Take care, enjoy your day! Wishing you a happy new week!

My philosophy is that you should never stop playing. It's holding on to that inner child that keeps you going. Plus we all need an outlet to distract us from the things that drag us down. You found a fun outlet and it serves a purpose because you can also use it to make other people happy with your texts and blog posts. It's a win win situation.

They are fun. I haven't used them on my blog yet but I do use them in text messages. The one I use is called Bitmoji, not sure if I mentioned that yet. It's definitely a bit of a stress reliever and just plain fun. I hope you have a great day :)

If it gives relief from the stress, then it is a good thing. I don't use them a lot, but Lorelei likes to.

Well, I think you can add, "Ambassador of Goodwill" to your resume. When you illustrate your days it makes me smile ... and others, too!
I'm still tweaking my own Mirror Avatar; wish they'd add a 'wrinkle' feature. Ha! Come to think of it, I don't recall having this much fun with paper dolls back in the day.

Everyone has a way of keeping calm and carrying on. I have a few emojis that I use and that's it. My daughter is showing me some new technical techniques on my mobile phone. It's great having a younger person's company. She takes an interest in gardening and cooking so that pleases my husband and helps me with
the technical issues I have with my computer and mobile phone.

Hugs and smiles for you.
I love what you do and how it's a balm for your soul.
When life is HARD you do the most fun things to help you get through it.
On my way now to my 10 hour work day..Prayers appreciated.

In my books anything that takes us away from reality has to be good. I don't know where I would be without my computer and crochet. I can lose myself in both of these activities.
Tom's escape is facebook (not a favourite of mine), he sits in the corner in his wing chair and giggles away at all sorts of rubbish, but, he's happy and that's all that counts and not getting on my nerves, LOL

I agree...we have to find a few things that are FUN in our lives! It can't ALL be so hard and sad! We need something to lighten things up. And you are the BEST! I need to play around with these too. Today I used the Tiny Planet on photoscape to make a neat photo...well...I think it's neat anyway! hahaha! Hugs!

I do whatever it takes to get through these tough days! I am big fan of ipad games and puzzles. Hidden object games are my favorite. So I say bravo for escaping the hard stuff. Hope Big Boy is a whole lot better, and Bob too. Have a good week!

We all need escapes, especially now, Sandra, and not only are you learning new things that keep you busy and make you smile, but cheering up so many others as well. Thank you.
