Masked and READY

If you saw me in this mask walking in a Wal-Mart at 6 am for Senior Shopping, would you ask if I were over the age of 60?
Well, the greeter advised me it was early for seniors only, 60 and above.
She said Are you above 60? I answered does 76 count?
This is the 2nd time she has asked me that, I see her every Tuesday at 6 am, and have since March.
Twice now she asked, what about the other 36 times she did not ask.
I speak to her each time and have discussed this type mask several times.
She in fact is the one who told me where to find them, because she had on a red one and I said where did you get that.
Again this time, she had on a different color. I said I want a couple more of these, I wish you would get them in. she said they came in 2 weeks ago.
She directed me where they were and now you see my two new prints.

I thin the cammo makes me look angry.. see lower right below..
they are polyester/spandex and the most comfy of all the mask I own..
I almost forget I have it on.
If you decide you want to look 16 years younger and go to find one at Walmart
 they are with the purses.
PS sorry about the HAIR today, I am ashamed to say it, but I totally forgot to wash my hair on day 3 and 4. I always wash it on the 3rd day.

Bob said how can you forget to wash your hair?

Good question, no comment

No one would ask me if I were over 60! Too funny.

In our county ...it's odd I think, but the stores have gaiters but the big wigs say no to them that they don't protect us from the virus spray. I say that's a bunch of hogwash...how can they not approve of them?!! I like the leopard print. AND the one of you & beau.

Yep, you sure do look angry in that one picture with the camo mask on. I know that when I'm cashing at work it's hard to tell how old a person is with the mask on. I've carded people for cigarettes who are as old as me.

Hello,

Your masks do sound comfy, it is funny they had to ask your age. I guess the worker does not have a good memory, after seeing you so many times before. The USSIE photo is cute, I love it! Take care, have a happy day!

Ginny comments about the protective quality ... the truth is that there ought to be at least three layers of fabric to provide true aerosol protection, so if you were within two metres of someone coughing, this might not be the best choice... however, with appropriate distancing and for a general walkabout, it should be fine. That aside, these look fab! YAM xx

I love the way these masks looks but I worry about protection. I only use the 3 ply disposables just for that reason. I love the way the first one looks on you but you do look angry in the camo mask. Were you just not smiling under that mask?

LOVE the 'ussie' so much!
So glad you featured this mask! I'll admit, some days it seems I'm living under a rock ... but was puzzled when another blogger friend said something about her 'genie' mask. I had no idea ... particularly when Linda shared how one rude "Karen" got in her face claiming they weren't 'legal.' Ha!

That's the kind of compliment you get, when you get up early and hit the pool and the gym the way you have done all these years. I think people don't just look at your face when they assign an age. I think it's how you walk, move, how strong you look and all of that. I say that because I know that is a part of me has gone deeply downhill in the past year. So I loved hearing that she asked you that.

Ok Sandra, I will be completely honest and say that I did NOT like any of these masks. To me, it's bad enough not seeing folks when wearing the masks that loop around the ear (ones I usually wear) but these seem to really "hide" someone's face and as another blogger commented do not seem to offer very much protection for the wearer or others. I know that masks have become a fashion statement and are being sold everywhere. but these just didn't do you justice at all.
BTY thanks for the comment on our holiday decos. We used to have many more, but trimmed back during a couple of moves. Now, we're adding a few like the sax snowman bought at CVS last week (on sale).

I don't have an answer for the greeter's inquiry other than every so often folks get in a zone. We shop at several places with 'rewards' cards that we show. I always show them first and they are scanned. No matter if I am buying 1 item or 10 the cashier always asks if I have a rewards card.
Bob has lots of hair it would be hard for him to forget to wash it.

Absolutely love your "ussies"

My son uses a Gater not quite as long as yours when he has to.
I still wear the disposable ones like in my previous post.
I guess that's a nice compliment to be considered 60 and under.
My face wrinkles are a dead give away for me.
I don't think our Big Walmart still has senior times. There is nothing posted. Most of the time I do my grocery shopping at our neighborhood Walmart and there are a whole lot less people to contend with.
Almost finished with the tree and house decor..I don't know why it's taking me so long to be finished.
I guess I'm not quite as motivated as I usually am.
I do have the lights on though and it's pretty. It does seem to give me a boost.

It is a compliment to be asked if you are over 60. You could easily pass for a younger person.
