Younger, Thinner

Our shopping channel fashionista says pull/scrunch up one side of long tunic, it will make your legs look longer and your body thinner
Wearing longer sweaters make a person look taller and slimmer.
(yes, she was selling long tunics and sweaters to match)
You may remember from a past post we already know wearing a MASK makes my loong 16 years longer because every week I get asked if I am under sixty to be allowed in senior shopping.
While I stood at the desk checking in for my Doctor visit,
the lady that has seen me each time I go for the past 4 years,
said "You look so thin, did you lose a lot of weight"
I replied "yes, i lost it 4 years ago"
She said  "no you really look so thin, you look great"

I sat down and pondered this news and suddenly I knew the answer
I had on a Mask
I had on the above shirt with one side tucked up
I also had on a long black sweater (not shown)
😁😁😁
I may never take them off. If I could remember where I bought this shirt I would buy another one in case this one wears out from constant use.

I need more leggings and long tops! I wanna be like YOU who who who!

Well, it definitely works for you. With me, long tunics look like jammies tops & does make me look dumpy. Short squatty & like I just woke up from a long winter's nap. You, on the other hand look marvelous.

I agree with Anni, it works for you. I wish I could find outfits that make me look younger and thinner.

Hello Anni,

You are looking great, I love the long black top with the leggings.
It is always nice to hear "you look so thin". You do look thin!
Take care, enjoy your day!

How cute you look! Unfortunately, I've only one long black top -- like what you're wearing. It's been my favorite, go-to since 1995. Yes, really! And I'm sad to see a tiny tear. My oversize holiday sweater and hoodies do the trick, too, but I won't be able to wear them much longer unless I move to Alaska.
Yep, my mask hides a multitude of mistakes. Who'd have guessed 6 months ago they'd become so fashionable?!

PS - I loathe clothes shopping! But if you find something out there that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, please point us in that direction?

You do look great Sandra and I dress exactly like that too. I miss the little clips back in the 80s that pulled up the one side of the shirts. Remember them? Yeah, I dressed like this way back then too. And the masks, I told my husband the other day I might keep wearing them even when the time comes that we don't have to :)

I miss clothes shopping. I've been wearing what I have in my wardrobe all this year. It would be nice to dress up. Usually I wear trousers, t shirt, and in this cold weather a sweater or warm jumper. Not sure if you have the same words for these. I was gifted some new socks black with a tiny embroidered picture of birds and fruit. I'm thrilled with them and they're keeping my feet warm. It's the little things we appreciate these days. You look great!

Being under five feet in height, I have to keep things long. Shortened tunics just make me look even closer to the ground! YAM xx

I NEED TO DO SOME SHOPPING! lol

They make me look short and squatty, too. Maybe because I am short and squatty. You, however, look great.

I'm with Hootin' Anni and Rose..I'm short and "squatty" too. A lot of clothes make me look just plain dumpy.
I'm not fond of clothes shopping either and now we can't try on anything in the stores. I need to see how it looks on me before I spend money on it...not dressing up any-hoo so I guess it really doesn't matter..Haha..
So busy trying to get more stuff up on Ebay before the end of the year. Its a pain but money in the bank sure helps.
It's crystal clear today with a hard frost this AM. Nice to have the sunshine. It sure perks up my mood.

It's winter clothes time here so really hard to tell what people look like whether they're wearing masks or not! ;)

You look so cute! I don't need to look thinner, and I like hiding behind a mask. (Old thin faces are never cute.) Another go-to is always wearing a hat when I go out to hide my unruly hair. I love my hair but I like keeping it our little secret.

Looking good!!! Our Mom is very long and fairly lean except for the tummy bulge. She loves leggings and long tops - go for comfort is her rule:)

You carry that look so well. Me, being under 5 feet , a long top would be like a dress.

Well isn't that awesome. You do look great regardless of the outfit!

You look great! I have lots of neutral colors, gray, black, navy but I do love color too. The hubby just bought me a cute outfit for my birthday black and white leggings and a cute top with a red heart that says Rebel Heart. :-) If there is a label in your shirt google that tag and I bet you can find your shirt. I have a 32 year old daughter who buys old school clothing, bell bottom jeans etc. SHe is a real detective finding her stuff on line. HUSG across the miles

All true fashion tips, Sandra. My daughter who has been in women's retail "forever" keeps reminding me of the dos and don'ts. Most of the time I just dress to feel comfy because I rarely see people...:)jp
