Neighbors again! No not the House of 7 cars, now 4 cars, the OTHER neighbors next door to that house.
I spent a whole week watching the neighbors across the street spray paint the house yellow, that was about 3 months ago. Last week, while watching the house of 7 cars, I noticed the house next door had the garage door painted Aqua.
Next one day they did the front, the next the side and rear and
4 days later I watched them paint the trim. (no shutters yet)
I love both of them. At first I thought Shocking but the more I see them, the more I love them.
As I rounded the corner into my yard from a walk, I thought isn't the bougainvillea beautiful, and next in my head popped the idea to APPEAR to be taking closeup photos of the flowers while sneaking Peeks at the two houses.
Photo above to show they sit next to each other
We have noticed on our rides with Beau that there are Aqua, all shades and Yellow all shades, on all the streets we drive. It is the new color. Every house that has been painted in the past year, and there are many, is either shades of Beige, Yellow, Aqua, Blue or Rose... Back in the 1960's pastel colors were popular in Florida. Now these bright bold colors are everywhere. I am loving it and want mine to be Aqua. I counted 6 Aqua houses on my walking route.
UPDATE on house of 7 cars that is now house of 4 cars. The Audi came back and stayed all day and all night and then disappeared again. What. Is. Going. On?

The last picture is the prettiest. YEs, I love the pastel colors. A house about two blocks away is pink and I love that, tall and skinny. I hope you get better, dizziness is awful!
we love the colors! here only shades of white are allowed. a neighbor used yellow but he had to repaint his crib... he is a fearless ex legionary so he said fu and painted it pink...how bad that court cases now are without visitors..
Very clever, pretending to take photos of one thing, but really zooming in something else :) I do that sometimes too, when there are people about...
All the shades that NZ State Houses were painted in the 1950s and 60s. And if you don't know what state houses are there is a song about little boxes on a hillside, there's a pink one and a blue one and a green one and a yellow one and they're are all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same. (That last bit is because the government would build entire suburbs with just one house plan - unlike streets in UK where this is common, Kiwis like to be different to their neighbours).
Hello,
I love the colorful houses, both the aqua and yellow are beautiful. I love the bougainvillea too. Sorry about the vertigo, it is an awful feeling. I hope you feel better, take care.
Have a happy day!
Well aren't those pretty. Now I'm curious about what the most common color is for houses around here.
Hope the vertigo is gone now.
I hope your vertigo goes away. I noticed these house colors on our travels when we have been in tropical, beachy areas. I like them too. You would make a great detective or captain of the neighborhood watch.
I love the bold colors! And sure hope the vertigo does not last long.
I think color on the exterior of a home gives so much character!!
Be well!!

I love bright colours. ... are we to be hearing of a change at Beau's place then??? You could pick out the green that is on his collar - that would be different from everyone else then! YAM xx
You are so funny Sandra. I can just see you hiding behind bushes to get photos lol. I do love the colors, especially the aqua. I want my house either aqua or pink. It's overdue to be painted so hopefully soon! I sure hope you feel better today.
I hope you feel better today! And I love the colorful houses...we have all shades of color here in our community, most are soft shades though. Mine is lavender...of course! I live in a lavender cottage! Hugs!
MS I'm so sorry about the vertigo...it must be absolutely an awful feeling.
Here's to it passing as quickly as it arrived.
What happy colored homes you have around you.
Hugs Cecilia
You little stealth paparazzi!
Coming from an Arizona HOA community (think 50 shades of brown), these are so refreshing! OK, I'll take the yellow and you can have teal.
Oh my...I sure hope the vertigo goes away quickly. that's the most awful feeling I know.
Love your "Sneaky" house photos.
Perfect and I do love the tropical colors on the houses too.
Feel better.
Got a few errands to run today and rake the pods that have fallen in the side yard...have to put out the garbage tonight...time to do the household things.

Hope you're feeling better. The houses look nice and do remind me of Florida from when I was visiting as a child.
Those houses are attractive . Hope the vertigo doesn’t hang around too long.
Very pretty colors. Our homes association requires "earth" tones, very bloah!!!

Vertigo can be nasty...hope you are well or at least on the mend!! As for the houses...the colors would have shocked me initially but they do grow on you and in FL, everything is so bright and colorful!! As for the cars going coming, coming, staying, going, gone...well there is one house about 1/2 mile from us that has sometimes 11 cars early morning. So I've come to the conclusion that they have older kids who have girlfriends/boyfriends or friends stay over...a lot!!! I love the idea of you taking close-ups on the flowers...LOL!!!...jp
When we lived in Mexico, many of the houses were painted with bright colors. We loved it!
Houses in New Zealand, are all colours, although there is a tendency for white/cream I've noticed with all the new houses/blocks going up. At one point in my life back in the 1980s, (I owned a home) and we painted it in the colour trend of then - grey with a semi light pink trim. But also now, many houses are plain brick and tile...
I love the colors! Good luck with the vertigo, it's nasty stuff.
