I love OLD Houses

I love OLD houses or like this one, houses that look old, but are not. It is about 20 years old and 2 streets over from us.

This is my favorite house.
It is 9 blocks East of us, and 13 blocks north of us. a five minute drive with 3 traffic signals, I could walk there but Why Would I?
The taxes on this house are more than our combined income.
It was built in 1910 and recently painted a beautiful shade of the trending Aqua here.

UPDATE because of Ginny Comment. This house has a beautiful porch, that goes from the door and wraps around behind the bushes.
Rich or poor, all the same colors trending now are out there.

Below is the satellite view of property and footprint to house. Looks from the street are deceiving.

It sure is bigger than it looks from the street! I love the aqua color, the fancy windows, and the brick courtyard. But no porch! I like the porch in the first house. I don't know which one I would choose! Do the courtyard, windows and color make up for a porch?

Hello,

I love both the houses, the first one with the porch is cute.
I love the aqua color, it has always been a favorite of mine.
Take care, have a happy weekend!

Not sure what Ginny is seeing, but I can see the porch you told us about - but I gotta say, I prefer the cottage one in the first photo!!! YAM xx

Both houses I could be happy living in but your favorite is my favorite. It is a lovely house. The stained glass and the pretty blue, I love everything I can see about this house.

I like both houses because they both have a covered porch which I would love to have. That second one sure is big.

They are both beautiful! I love the color of the second one, but I hate living in large houses. I'd probably prefer the other one but painted aqua. :)

Great idea to add the aerial view. Shows how big it is in depth.

Golly gee that house is pretty from top to bottom.
I'm with you I am not a fan of modern or contemporary architecture.

Me, too! Matter of fact, I've a post perculating about olden homes.
What a big footprint, your favorite has! I'm in love with those windows -- but would actually prefer the first one. Easier to keep clean, plus less $$$ to heat and cool.

I like the way the trees frame the house in your photos. Interesting how that color has taken over the entire area. Rich or poor as you said. My house is sage, Joyce's house is red with green trim, but doesn't look like Christmas. Those are the only houses here. So is your house white?

The style of that first house is one if my favorites...if I could build a new house any way I wanted it, this would be a contender for it.

I love the old looking houses with wrap around porches.
I especially like the stained glass windows and the outside color..perfect for Florida.

The aqua one is spectacular...thanks for the aerial view. I wouldn’t like to live in it, way too big, but I would love to go on tour of it.

A house with a wrap around porch would be one I want.

I love your favorite house too! Do you watch Home Town of HGTV? I love that show!

Two lovely homes. That satellite view certainly shows how big that home is.

Both are beautiful houses, but I would rather live in the smaller of the two. Still, I bet the larger house has some interesting features, such as a walk-in pantry, a couple of window seats and one or two tiny one-purpose rooms, such as a sewing room.
