Cicada

See the wing in the middle? While making up the bed, I saw it laying on the sheet where Bob's shoulders would have been while sleeping.

Each morning he gets out of bed at 3:30 and gets in our pool to loosen old bones. IN THE DARK! He drys off, gets his coffee and goes back to bed to drink the first cup. When I showed this to him, he said, he sees the Cicadas floating in the pool and this wing must have stuck to his back and hitched a ride to our bed sheets. The two cicadas I found in PM stock photos and they are exactly like our loud gang that lives in the yard.

Since there is nothing to say about a wing, I used this for Bob's UPDATE on his Tests.

All is Well, BP did not skyrocket even though we had to wait 50 minutes in the examine room for a 4 minutes report. He is removing Bob from the blood thinner for surgery and he will be off it until further notice. NO MORE BLEEDING EVENTS

Great news. Good thing the wing is likely from the pool, or else I would have been out of my mind!!

Baby sized angel wings. Guardian angel. Good news about the test AND getting rid of blood thinners (I've seen how they mske you bleed when you knock a little bit of skin off!) So this means new knee new knee new kneee eeeeeee right?

Yeeesch! I saw my first cicada here in 2018 and much to Tom's amusement, was properly horrified. These days I mostly ignore them - except the other morning when Macie Ann decided she wanted to taste one.

Doing a happy dance for Bob's 'all clear'!

I never knew what a cicada looks like, I've only read about them (not as in studied them, just mentioned in novels etc)...

I'm sure that the wing just wanted a few extra minutes of shut-eye...Yay on the ALL CLEAR for Bob.

Looks like Bob is ready for his surgery. I had a jumping insect in my car, a green one, would call it a grasshopper, maybe.

It's good to read it's still "good to go". I keep you both in my thoughts.

Cicadas are the bane of summer. Folklore say it will rain when they sing.

I think if I would have found a wing I would have been freaking out wondering where the rest of it was.
Good new on Bobs test

Good news from the doctor is always worth celebrating.

That is good news! The cicadas are long gone from here. Now there are oak mites I have read about. Fortunately I haven’t seen them.

Glad his blood pressure was good. Yes they do stop you before surgery. I had to be off 2 days before my angiogram and the day of it too. I was also off for a few day before my knee surgery. Wishing him a great surgery and hope he loves his new knee.

that's good news about Bob's forthcoming surgery - I had a friend who was taken off blood thinners and then had to take the Aspirin instead.

Great news!! You are getting there!
As I was sitting here at my desk blogging earlier, I heard a lot of buzzing! A cicada (I call them locusts) had got in when I had the door open and was making a racket when it flew. It didn't make the noise call though. It was on the ceiling for awhile and finally landed on the table where I caught him up in a paper towel and escorted him outside! They haven't been nearly as loud here this year as they usually are!
