Health Update

On March 15, 2020, we went in to Covid-19 Lockdown! Stopped going out did everything they said, we have not eaten in a restaurant since then.
We did the Right Things! Better than most!
We only shop for necessities.
We were among the first to get the vaccines and are oh so thankful we did!

Most of you have listened to me moan about dizzy and headaches and can't walk the dog and screaming I'M STRESSED OUT from the Blog. Brain Fog, I thought I was dying or coming down with dementia
Four weeks ago I reported I called the doctor and had a video call, next I reported a visit to the doctor 2 weeks ago. She diagnosed Sinus Infection, fluid in the ears, thrush in the mouth and gave me 7 days of steroids' and antibiotics.
With the steroid PUSH I felt better for 2 days then the relapse. I called the doc and talked on phone and said I have the same thing I had a week ago, the meds are not helping.
You have been guessing as you read that we have COVID!
Not now. it seems sometime in those weeks that I stopped posting, from Aug 16 surgery date for the new knee, and the follow 2 hell weeks that I did not post except for updates on bob's knee, we got the
Delta Variant . Don't Fret! It's gone now.
Just the left overs.
Those 3 weeks of Stress where my head pounded and bob had cold sweats and I cried and joints hurt, and we could not sleep, we were in the midst of the
Stress and Pain from his surgery and had no idea at all we were sick.
We were in 15 Doc office visits and 10 therapy visits during the 8 weeks of pre visits and after visits.

Doc said Vaccinated People have it and don't know they do because they don't feel sick.

Well we felt sick but since the symptoms are the same as stress and surgery we had no idea.
We are in what she called the Aftermath of the variant.
It can be a few days, a month or several months.
I am left with Headaches that get worse with exertion and go away if I lay down or sit down.
the dizzy pills don't work, that is why I called her. I wanted to walk my dog.

A friend said she is just guessing, and she is but it is educated guess. I had bloodlabs, ultrasounds, wellness visit  3 days after bob's surgery.
Every thing was perfect. She made her diagnosis because all the meds did nothing.
If steroids, antibiotics, don't work, it is Viral not Bacterial and there is nothing to do but let it run the course.
The Good news is, we feel good, then we feel bad, extremes of fatigue, legs like noodles, like we can't live our feet to walk. then we feel ok and can walk.
We are doing yard work and house work, a little at a time. Work and Rest, Work and Rest.
Laying down I feel fine, so reading a lot
I have been Blogging from Bed, reading and commenting and emailing. between naps.
If you are not vaccinated please go get it now.
If we were this sick with vaccination, I shudder to thing if we were not. We were careful and we got it
We do live In the Hot Spot of USA, Florida
I may or may not post each day, I may post only on this blog or Beaus Blog.
Our Obituary's today had a 25 year old man, who died last week from the Variant with in 9 days of getting it. He was unvaccinated.

Thankful Prayers Going Up that we got the shot

I am so glad and thankful that you are in the aftermath, and hopefully the worst is over!!! Oh, still, how AWFUL! I am so sorry!!! And maybe it was a blessing that you didn't know you had it, can you imagine how sscary that would have been? The good part is that you will not have lots of antibodies, but that does NOT make up for what you have been going through!

I'm so sorry and hope you're all better soon. Thank you for letting us know, and thank you for having been vaccinated!

Holy cow! And wouldn't you know it, coming at a time of stress and disruption (which may have made you more vulnerable) your mind doesn't immediately go to 'oh crap we've caught COVID'. Thank (whatever you believe in) for the protection of vaccinations znd you are still around to tell us about it. We wonder if you have any vaccine doubters among your followers.. Do lots of the resting part - get well and strong. xxx Mr T and F

Hello Sandra

I am glad you are recovering, things could have been worse. I have to look for a bright side. It is best to be vaccinated, I will never understand why so many people are against the vaccine. Take care, plenty of rest is a good thing. Wishing you a happy day!

Well I'm certainly sorry to hear you have that but glad that you know what it is that has caused all those symptoms. I can see how it would have easily been confused with everything else that was going on at the time. I hope you are feeling better soon.

After you told us you're better, I would have agreed the diagnosis was upper respiratory (like ear infection). Then I read in someone else's comments that your were once again symptomatic, I figured a breakthrough case. Be well soon!! Both of you!!!

What a time you two have had...I wish all this would end soon and you could return to what is our new normal soon. Sometimes I don't even think I know what normal is, though.

OMDs Madsnapper...what a blessing you were vaccinated.

Thank God you were vaccinated. I lost my very best friend to Covid - would refused the shot.
You went all that time not even knowing you had it.
Yowers.
Glad you are doing better!
Did you get a Covid test?

Heartbreaking about that 25 y/o! I hope his passing wasn't in vain; I mean, maybe some un-vaxxed folks will change their minds.
Thanks for this comprehensive list! Of course, like any other diagnostics, I'm sitting over here going, "Tom hasn't had an appetite in 3 weeks ... I've been sneezing a bunch ... we both have runny noses ...." Oh, and remember that mysterious rash that didn't go away for like 6-7 months?

Color me, torn between wanting to know and fearing to know.

I am stunned! SHOOK, as the young people say. I had no idea. I just thought the stress of the surgery aftermath was just severe for you both. I am relieved you are now n the recovery phase, as long and difficult as it is. I think your dozing in bed and taking it easier is a good plan. Get well soon!

Praise God and thank you, Jesus, that you did NOT know you had it at the time! You would have freaked out and that would have made it so much worse! Love and prayers every day for you and Bob!

Dear Sandra This Delta Variant is a killer, to anyone who is not vaccinated. Good job you and Bob were vaccinated, so keep on resting, and do as little as possible until you are completely better. I'm so pleased you are feeling a little better. All the best, will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

This whole covid thing is not something to take lightly. Thankfully you were vaccinated or the end results could have been much worse.Around here too many people refuse to believe that the virus serious for even real.

Well, at least you have an answer now. Just hope the long term effects go away soon. If you remember, I suggested to you way back that you might have Covid. I have a friend who had it last December pre- vaccines, not Delta. She and her husband were pretty sick but recovered. She is now for 8 months been battling vertigo and doctor has no idea even after several very big tests what is causing the dizziness. I have tried to convince her it is a long term effect from the Covid, but . . .

Anyway, hope you and Bob are doing much better soon.

Not to worry you but you might have "long covid" check it out...

Sandra, thanks for this post and glad to read that you are both feeling somewhat better. Encouraging people to get the vaccine is great, but I suspect most of the fellow bloggers who read your blog have been vaccinated. That said, reading about someone’s experiences and symptoms is a good reinforcement in case they are any who have not been vaccinated.

I'm still keeping up even though I haven't returned to blogging. I'm so sorry to hear you both have covid, I am so thankful that you are vaccinated! I hope you are both all better soon!

You are so great. This post is a real Public Service Announcement and may help someone. Thanks for doing it and I so hope you both will feel better soon. I think you had to go to just too many hospitals because I know how careful you have been all this time.
