Touchscreen magic

Sitting in my chair, I reached out and touched the corner of the screen on my Chromebook to check the outside temp, which was as you see 65 F.

I could see I had 94 % battery left and had 9 hours 45 minutes of play time on battery. I could see the internet is connected, it is 7:30am, and tap the calendar to see all our appointments that I enter into my cell phone calendar.

this magic corner appears on Desktop and 11-inch Chromebook.
to me this is quite amazing.

I wanted to snip a photo of the box to show this to you and ask if you have one. or if you use it at all.

I remembered that my desktop Snipping Tool will go away when I upgrade to Windows 11.
HOW WILL I SNIP?
I asked Google Girl and she spoke
Push your finger down on the screen, hold until up pops a screen Capture Screen Or drag and snag the box.
Which is what I did.
Newfound Magic of my Touchscreens, all my devices have touch screen, and I had no idea.
I snipped Google home page,
I drew stuff with my fingertip and Voila

HERE IT is... right from the fingertip of the MadSkilled MadSnapper.

Do you have touch screen, do you use any of this?
Have you downloaded Windows 11?

If you know something else tell me, please.

I have touch screens on my iPad and iPhone, but not on my computers.

Wow, I didn't know any of this. I have something kind of similar on my bottom bar, but it only gives the tmperature and trending news stories. I have not loaded Windows 11, and have not gotten the option either. How is it different? I won't do it if I lose the snipping tool, because I do not have a touch screen computer.

I have touch screen everything but I rarely use that on the desktop. When I tap the phone I think I just get the time. I can't think of anything else that's on it. Now I'll have to look.
I haven't upgraded to 11 yet but I have thought about it.

No windows 11 yet. Not sure I even have the option...I was told weeks (months) ago it will be available at different intervals for different areas of USA. As for touch screen, as far as I know, just my new phone.

Hi Sandra, :=) I only have windows 10, have not upgraded yet, no touch screen either. I think you are so bright to figure out all this, you have the technical abilities that I don't have

Only my 8yr old tablet has a touchscreen (Android). I have a standard flipfone - calls and texts only. Voovoo the Vaio is 10 years old and remains on windows 7. That way I don't have to be forced to update at every whim of kids in bunkers a million miles away.

Yes, I am techy - but remember, my first degree was in computer science and I like to have control over the workings of my own machines. I still don't have complete autonomy, subject to Google's constant update of Chrome, but other than that, something only comes on board because I invited it and not because I have to anticipate constant invasion and upheaval. These days, though, I live in a level of discomfort at the knowledge that these machines are reaching the end of their days and then there will be no escaping Big Brother systems... YAM xx

I have windows 10, no update yet. I have an old dell desktop, it does not have a touch screen. My iphone has the touch screen. I am not as techy as you, I would not know what to do with it if I had it on my computer.
Have a great day!

My phone and an old tablet have touch screen. I'm actually not a fan on a computer. My current Chromebook no longer gets updates so I will have to get a new one at some point but I would still use a mouse.

Can't sign anything via touchscreen in a way that makes me look as if I still have at least of my marbles.

Ain't technology grand? That said, I'm more like the ostrich with her buried in the sand. Knowing me, I'll probably resist Windows 11 as long as possible.
LOVE your doodles!

You go girl! I have touch screen for iPad and iPhone, but it will be no surprise that I am dismally inept with technology. I am ecstatic these days that I can visit blogging friends and post on my blog semi-regularly!

Isn't it amazing what we can do and see at our fingertips? I am still in awe of this technology.

My phone and iPad have touch screen. I actually have an Apple Pencil with the iPad and really like using that. Technology has advanced so far.

I do not have a touchscreen on the PC. The phone, yes. I am very behind in terms of technology.
