Different Kettle of Dish!

Life is a different kettle of Dish after I started cooking meals for Bob and meals for me. I store it all in containers and then heat each thing in the little yellow pots. This causes more time than cooking and also a lot longer to wash up dishes in the sink. I saw this and just had to tell you. This is from our midday meal that was already cooked on Sunday.

What do you call burnout when you are through washing a load of dishes?

Post-Traumatic Stress Dishorder!

I Dish I had a Dishwasher, butt I do have a pre-rinse cycle!

LOL - although, I have a dishwasher that I forget all about using. I inherited it when buying the Hutch - when I have visitors it gets used. But for myself, it's just sink and drainer... YAM xx

Ha! We don't have a dishwasher either. Seems like us four are the only ones who don't! But I do all the cooking, and Phil washes the dishes! I love this arrangement.

Hello Sandra,:=) I have a dish washer, but it's hardly worth using it just for one person, so I wash the dishes by hand in the sink. Ha Ha I like the photo of your pre-rinse cycle!:=))
It's amazing how dishes do pile up, when you eat out of the freezer,it's all those plastic boxes.

We have a dishwasher but I normally wash most of the dishes. I usually run it once a week with glassware. You are definitely organized. I love your pre-rinse!

Hey, we've a couple of those pre-rinsers, too! Isn't it crazy how quickly our containers pile up ... like an evil game of Jenga. Once washed, I just move our dish rack on top of the washing machine to dry -- behind the bifold doors. Out of sight, out of mind.

We have a BROKEN dishwasher. Hubby banned me from HIS kitchen a few years after my stroke because I "made too much noise." It's fine with me!! He actually prefers getting the job done by hand rather than getting a new dishwasher and dealing with the noise as well as the modern plague of modern conveniences built to break!

LOL, I have the pre rinse cycle too. I tend to let dishes pile up in the sink because I use so few and I hate to fill a sink with water for just one plate.

I don’t have a dishwasher either. I also don’t really mind doing dishes.

Hello,

We have a dishwasher and don't use. Hubby usually helps washing the dishes and I put them away. That is a pile of dishes just for lunch, is the mid day your main meal. Take care, have a great day!
