A couple of weeks back, Bob got up and burst into his rendition of Can't take my eyes off of you, you're just to good to be true. I asked where that come from, he said no idea. Woke up with it.
He said, "what do you see when I sing this" and burst into it again. He knows all the words.
My answer was "I am in the cab watching Julia Roberts running on the tread mill and when you get to where the horns play, I see her running on her horse.
The song is by Franki Vallie and the 4 Seasons and is from my teen years. HERE on Youtube
The song is the soundtrack for one of our most watched movies, Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts. The reason the title is Just to good to be true, is I went to Amazon Prime to see if the movie was available and there it was. Phooey I said, its there but we have to pay for it.
We refuse to pay per use to watch, but when I clicked on Add to watchlist it said
Watch this movie Free, we will use your digital credit to pay for it.
The digital credit was on there because the last time I ordered 4 items I chose all to come on one day. They gave me a credit. I never knew I could use it on movies, I use it for free kindle books.
We watched it for the 6th or 7th time since 1997 when we rented it the first time from Blockbuster to watch on our 8 track players.
2 weeks later we are both humming, singing and in my case whistling this song and are still watching Julia run on the treadmill
What is your favorite Movie you have watched many times?

Mr T likes watching Ice Age (yes an animation) 1 we reckon it's that squirrel thing with the acorn that fascinates him. Xxx F
Bless Amazon for letting you watch it for free!
I remember just about all of the Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons Songs!! They put falsetto on the map before Barry Gibb did. I have not heard of this movie. I have seen so many hundreds, that I wish I could think of a few favorites! I really liked Once Upon A Time In The West, which is one of what they called spaghetti Westerns. Even though I do not like westerns! Have I confused you enough? OH, I LOVED The Fall, it was gorgeous to watch.
great that you could see it for free ;O) I love agatha christies dead on the nile... and phenny ist addicted to the old black and white Moby Dick ;O))))
Hello Sandra, :=) I don't have one particular favourite, but there are three that I have seen numerous times, and know I'll see again. One is "Pretty Woman," and because I'm a romantic I've seen "Out of Africa," and "Pride and prejudice" umpteen times. I saw Conspiracy Theory too because I'm a film buff. "It's just to good to be true" is a very catchy tune, I'll probably have it on my mind all day now.:=) I'm glad you were able to see it again for free.
What a nice surprise that you had the credit to watch it free. I really can't think of any movie that I've watched multiple times. I can't even say that I have an all time favorite movie.
Hello,
I know the song well, it was a big hit back in the day. I do not think I have ever seen this movie. I am glad you could watch the movie for free. Amazon makes enough money and now they are raising the cost of Prime. Have a great day!
Probably the one I will stop and watch any time I see it is Steel Magnolias.
Easy peasy....
Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid!! (I have watched it so many times since 1969 -never tire of it-...I can mouth the entire script)

Don't recall ever having watched Conspiracy Theory, but note that I can rent it on YTube. Have bookmarked it but on watching the preview, I wonder if it might not have aged well? Given how many more plausible conspiracy things have appeared on our screen since then. But I guess one doesn't watch it for plausibility.
I have many films that rate more than one viewing - but one that has perhaps had more than most is THE KING AND I with Yul Brynner...sigh... I guess all of the ones on my DVD shelf count; so now I need to make a post on my blog sharing a list of those!!! YAM xx
I wouldn't mind watching this one again...it's a classic as my hubby would say. I watch Ever After....over and over again. I watched it for my birthday! Hugs!
I can't remember having seen this movie! 'You're Just too Good to be True' is like one of my favorite songs, ever. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons album was the very first one I was allowed to buy when my parents bought their hi-fi. Here's the movie I remember it being featured in:

My favorite movies I've seen over and over and over? It's a tie between Forrest Gump and Bridges of Madison County.
I am like you I won't pay because I already pay Prime - but that is a darn good idea - thanks.
I like Julia Roberts my B does not!!
I will watch the following movies anytime I see that they are on;
Blue Hawaii and GI Blues: Elvis
The Holiday
The Proposal
Dirty Dancing
Grease
Sleepless in Seattle
and several HALLMARK movies are in my favorites too
I'm sure I forgot a BUNCH
Hugs cecilia
I remember the movie and so glad you were able to watch it for free! My hubby blurts out some of the craziest songs out of nowhere all the time. Last week it was Jimmy Cracked Corn, I'm still laughing about that one! What in the world would put that song in his head?!
I like FARGO and the doomy gloomy music.
A VERY hum-able tune! My all time fave movie is "The Ghost & Mrs. Muir"
I don't think I've ever seen that movie (?) I have quite a few favourites of mine on DVD or Blu-ray (also some longer TV-series). One movie that comes to mind is Groundhog Day - should be the right time of year to re-watch that again :)
I am a hopeless romantic and love the old musicals.
Westside Story and Sound of Music, The Music Man, The Greatest Showman,The King and I, South Pacific and most of the Disney Classics like Jungle Book and Cinderella.
You are probably rolling your eyes over my favorites...we don't go very often to movies and don't have Netflix or any of those to see them at our own pleasure.

Now that is a great song. I can't picture it being the theme song to Conspiracy Theory. I do like those credit for choosing a different day. I usually use them when I hear a song that I like and add it to my music. Good to know that you can use it on a movie purchase. We don't pay for movies either but we are considering paying for a few movies on my VUDU account because I want to see movies that are up for an Academy Award because we don't go to the show anymore.
Too many to name just one, so here are three: Roman Holiday, Kelly's Heroes, White Christmas.
Cute post, especially starting out with Bob singing. I don't think I have seen this movie before. I liked Sleepless in Seattle with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, and French Kiss with Kevin Kline and again Meg Ryan, but haven't watched them for ages.
I haven't seen THAT one but we will!!! I think I may have digital credit , too, but I didn't know I could use it for that!
We watched Taken again last night.....Liam Neeson.....
This was 'taken' from a true story - that did not have exactly the happy ending you see in the film. Summer was high up in the high dollar insurance industry at one time and the real guy that Liam portrays in the movie gave a seminar on protecting vulnerable people - wealthy people. She never forgpt that guy.....he did, indeed, rescue his daughter but she never fully recovered from the trauma of it all.
surprises and free go hand in hand together
