Welcome Aqua!

I first noticed the color Aqua when they painted the house across the street. Everywhere we went we saw Aqua Houses.
Just on the walk with Beau each day, there are SEVEN aqua houses. that is TWO short streets.

She came home from shopping and sat the shaving cream on her sink. AQUA it screamed. She then noticed the Benadryl, polish remover and shaver were aqua. That very day, her friend on FB posted this Aqua Rolls Royce. She saw that in a parking lot here and said I want one. the friend not me. Cost of the Aqua Rolls is $300,000.00 !!!!

Now I can't stop seeing aqua... there are THREE aqua cars on our daily walk and I have seen them in every parking lot when out shopping. Have you noticed this color where you live?

IS THERE ANY AQUA IN YOUR LIFE???

Amazing that there are so many in such a short space! Not many here at all, if any. BUT I used to have an aqua Mustang!! It was beautiful. But no power brakes or power steering. You could really build up your biceps driving it.

Obviously this seasons fashion colour. Have you ever seen The Devil Wears Prada? You should - it might explain the aqua. Next year it will be cerulean. xxx Mr T

In certain parts of the Australian coastal residential areas, this colour tends to dominate too... something to do with sun, sea, surf and sand entering the psyche??? YAM xx

Even the house PIERS are painted aqua. The closest I have to aqua around me is turquoise rings & earrings.

Hello,
I love the aqua color, so pretty. The houses are cute.
I can't think of anything aqua in my life right now.
Take care, enjoy your weekend.

No aqua houses or cars around here that I've seen.

I've had a few tops in various shade of aqua, still have but they're darker. A rare colour for houses here I think. Although, what do I know - I haven't really been anywhere the past couple of years...

That's one of my favorite colors! I think I'll wear an aqua colored top today. Does that count? Happy weekend!

The ceiling of our front porch is painted aqua. Being from the South you probably know this but supposedly painted ceilings especially bluish keep critters from spinning webs etc. They think it is the sky. I don't know who the genius was who asked the critters but it works.

I don't think so, no. Well, maybe a vintage pillow. These house colors always remind me of brightly colored buildings in the Caribbean islands.

Aqua can be deceptive, can't it? Earlier I was lying in bed, mentally trying to identify something like that: "Nope, that one's blue. That one's more green." Like that old parler game: "Close your eyes and think of everything in the room that's red. 60 seconds, go!" Then, at the end the host might say something like, "Good job. But what's blue?"

I found this info
The color that spiders tend to hate is light blue. People don't just paint their porches light blue for the aesthetic. Painting your porch ceiling in this shade is a pretty effective way of keeping spiders away. Also read that there is really no scientific proof just personal testimonies

And I also read that in Louisiana they paint ceilings blue to keep evil haints away. LOL

Yes, Sandra, the t-shirt I bought this week in NC in an aqua color. It's a very soothing color too.

Honestly I can't come up with anything Aqua but I like the color. Our neighborhood has rules on the colors of our homes.

I think the only thing remotely close to aqua is the part of the dove beauty soap I use. But as for cars and houses, no have not seen...
But it looks pretty on the houses you have posted...

I'm not aware of that color here, but it brings back warm memories of my mother's living room.

It is fascinating how our brain can become so fixed on a colour or even an idea. For years people use this Know-how to advertise to lure shoppers and then there is the sad version of evil brainwashing. It is an interesting phenomena. It is also used in each seasons colour scheme of fashion and make up.
