Key of F🎵

I received a comment from the Blog OfMiceandRamen . She is new to me, and when I commented on her post, I found an interesting photo of a house fly with this information. The common housefly flaps its wings about 190 times per second, and the human ear interprets that frequency as a pitch along the F major scale

I verified this is true and along the way found this even more interesting article HERE
Mosquito Duet Leads to Love
The male mosquito's buzz, or flight tone, is normally about 600 cycles per second, or 600-Hz. The female's tone is about 400-Hz. In music, he's roughly a D, and she's about a G. So the male brings his tone into phase with the females to create a near-perfect duet

This Part is a little Sad, don't you think?

potential mates unable to hear or produce the overtone might be deemed unfit for reproduction.

The Male Mosquito flight TONE is roughly D
The female Mosquito flight TONE is G
When they get close together, they combine to Key of F and that is when they mate.

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION They sound like B52 Airplanes at night when buzzing me in bed.
Sorry to say, I wish them Dead

On the lighter Side

A mosquito landed on my hubby's face!
Easiest decision of my life! 😆

Found on Google Search, Don't you wish Mosquitos were this cute? Cheerful Monk, can you draw one for us?

These are incredible facts to read about. I dont relate to their humming noise as music but risk for malaria or dengue.

Interesting info but I'm with you, they sound more like a B52 and I wish them dead also. Too funny on the easiest decision.

As much as the buzz of 🦟 may be music to one another, I am also of the opinion that better off dead is my choice. Their buzzing is a major annoyance and a good swat is my reaction too.

The Of mice and ramen blog of Veronica Lee is very interesting and informative and she posts the most amazing photos from her apt view, especially sunsets.

What a hoot! Except, just reading this I started to feel a bit scratchy. I'm sure the Good Lord had a purpose for all things, but mosquitos are beyond me.

I 100% agree mosquitoes are dangerous and they seem to love me. I can't use anything with Deet in it. I Off Sensations with does not have Deet and does not last very long but then I don't stay out long with they are on the prowl

Those are two separate church steeples on my blog.

Interesting information Sandra.
I'm with you..no like them and wish them Dead!
This is the first year we haven't had mosquitos buzzing us. I guess its because we are still in a drought and there is no standing water. We also haven't had wasps this year or sadly many bees either.
On a very sad note..
a couple that attend Celebrate Recovery, where we serve, just lost their Granddaughter to suicide. SHE WAS ONLY 14 YRS. OLD.
The pain of life is real with our young people.

I'm not keen on them either - hate it when one is in the bedroom at night - and you are sure you will find it, but they are so crafty. I usually give up, get up, spray the room and hope that the couch will like me...
