We are OK

We are ok, but NOT ok, it has been horrid, they just restored everything, even my cell was not working except for email and texts, the cars were trapped in the garage, so could not go find internet, they just now got the cars out the wind punched it in, did no harm cars, but no access for 3 days  and the door is locked down and will be replaced sometime next week.

you KNOW you will get details as soon as we get lives under control. roof is good, house is standing, we are alive and I sit crying a lot. Beau is fine,

IT HAS  BEEN

We're so relieved to get this report from you. All paws are crossed that life can return to normal as soon as possible. We can't imagine how terrible it must have been to go through such a massive storm. Beau is surely helping you feel better by licking any tears you have.

Glad you are ok. I've been following this storm and I can't believe the devastation. I have friends who are headed down there as the neighbor said there is a tree on their house. They live close to Ft. Meyers. I live in Indiana and their summer home is here. Stay safe and well!!

I've been praying for you and yes, it is hellacious. What I have been seeing of the damage every where breaks my heart. I'm glad you were able to get your cars out and your power is restored. I will continue to pray for you.

Oh wow, so great to see your post. I have been glued to the news and wasn’t expecting anything from you for a while as I heard how many people were without power. Thank you so much for letting us know you, Bob and Beau are okay. You’ve got some stories to tell, that’s for sure.

So glad to read you are ok (we get the not ok) but you are still alive, uninjured, new roof still on, pleased you got rid of the dead tree when you did. Now that we are back online we are reading all the news and relieved to know our blogpals are safe. Good luck with the clean-up. Lots of love and best wishes Mr T and F

I can't imagine going through something like that so "not" being ok is perfectly understandable. That was quite an ordeal. I'm glad that you are safe now though.

Oh, I am so glad you are okay - I certainly understand why you are crying on the inside - it was so horrific, and I wasn't even in it. I am so sorry for your area.

Sandra, Glad to read that you are all ok, but also understand the not ok from all the stress and worry and power losses. I hope you will be feeling better and do take all the time you need. We understand and will be here when you feel comfortable enough to return.

Sandra, Jerry amd I are about an hour south of you in Venice. I am so sorry you were hit by the monster storm. We took a hit and were pummeled by the north edge of the eye. Our neighborhood is a shambles. Over 100 trees down. Our home stood strong but we lost palms and our pool enclosure was damaged, all fixable and we are both together and okay. The pool was black from all the debris, it's starting to come around. Many of our neighbors were not so lucky. Venice was devastated. The recovery will be a long one. We truly undersatnd and know what you are going through. Lines for miles for gas and empty shelves at all the Publix stores. Lost everything in our refrigerator. No electric for 5 days and our internet just came up yesterday.Thank the heavens for the cooler weather! We are still cleaning up. Just wanted you to know we understand and know the sadness and chaos of the whole experience. Jerry and I are too old for this!
