Tuesday Oct. 25th , 3 weeks after Iam slammed us, the trash truck rolled to the first pile of trash
and the arm came out and I snapped and snapped through the front window while singing
the trash truck is here, come look, come look.
He pulled the truck forward, climbed out, climbed up up to the top,
the big arm dropped down and
up went the trash
Again and again
Until he had picked it all up. I thought he was amazing, he handled that arm like it was nothing at all.
Even Bob was impressed.
You will be happy to hear that this is the last of the Hurricane Photos.
They are not in order, but they are all under the label Hurricane Ian
and landed on Nature Friday.

Hurray!!!
That’s impressive! Happy for you that the trash has gone now. I hope you are not too exhausted. It has been a monumental task.
wow what a mighty truck... I loved it to watch such rides as I was a kidlet... missed school and once the birthday party of a friend while watching the trash truck :O)
So glad they finally got it picked up and you don't' have to look at it any more.
How awesome is that?!!!
Glad that the trash was collected. You did all the hard work by clearing up. Hope you get a rest now.
Hello Sandra :=)
Thank goodness, and good riddens to the trash. I'm glad you don't have to look at it anymore Those pick-up machines are fabulous...very entertaining to watch as well.

It is always fun to see the skill of work like this - and a thrill to see the tidy after the not! YAM xx
I love watching trucks in action like this! I'm so glad it's taken away and I hope things can settle down for you now! WHEW!!!
That was impressive. I had no idea that when they came around, they chopped it first. Interesting.
Whew cheering here. That is an endless job after a storm but for certain everyone is so thankful to this man
Hugs Cecilia
I've never seen anything like that before! Who'd have guessed heroes wear reflective vests and ball caps?!
Good to go - as they say. I hope your local authority does lots of composting. Over here they are getting quite well organized to throw all that sort of stuff through a giant shredder, compost it down and sell it back to us as 'soil conditioner'. If you are anything like us, you will be looking forward to life resuming some sort of regular routine now that the chaos is over, although we expect the neighbourhood generally will take quite a while to heal completely. (BTW Mr T has had a 24 hour vomiting session and Mr B took him to the V-E-T today. He has had an anti-nausea shot and been sent home where he is apparently purring loudly and asking for food.) xxx F
I have not seen a truck like this. Is this your regular trash pickup truck, or is this truck for special pickups?
Hi Sandra bloggers have been telling me that the pendulums on the banana tree are cooked as a vegetable, I'm really confused now, bananas or vegetable. On Google they call it the blossom.
Sorry about this but I can't find your banana post.
YAYAYAYAY!!!
We are so glad the trash is gone!!
A step towards normalcy! Always good to get something like that off the mind.
Praise God! You made it through the hurricane!!! That's not a small achievement! AND you still know your name! You ROCK!!!
