Sunday Selfie

My back is better but it seems the week of pain and aggravation stole my MoJo.

I do have one thing to ask you. Because I could not bend over, it seemed I dropped everything I picked up .  I found that true when the Eye Doc said you can't bend over for a few weeks after cataract surgery
 My question for you is...
Do you think we drop things more when we can't bend over, or does it just seem that way because we can't bend over?

Love the selfie, you have a pretty smile.
I tend to have the dropsies, since having thumb surgery years ago I have trouble picking up things and holding onto them. I hope your mojo comes back, take care. Have a great day!

It is probably we notice it more, but it sure seems like we drop more.

I think our brain gets nervous and we drop more, at least that’s what happens to me. I had a figurine I kept knocking over after telling myself to be more careful. You’re looking good and so glad to see you back on your feet.

Yeah, kind of a mixture, I suspect; the stress of our situations, even if not obvious on the surface, affects such things as fine motor skills... but also, we are likely to pay way more attention to what would normally pass entirely unnoticed! Good to see you, to see you, good. YAM xx

Hope you have a couple of grabbers around for when you drop something.
It makes things so much easier.

You look beautiful!
You know some days I feel like I have the dropsies - I drop everything. Other days I don't drop things. But I wonder if you drop things more than you think and just don't notice it as much! FEEL BETTER.

Nice selfie! I think when we can't quite move as usual, and are in pain, and worrying about how to cope, we're probably also more likely to be a bit more clumsy and drop things, yes. But we probably also double it in our minds; because when we're feeling well, it's less of a problem when it does happen, and we soon forget about it! I have two grabber tools of varied length since my neck injury many years ago, I still often use those when I drop something on the floor. You could probably find some on Amazon. Mine also have a magnet at one end, that's very handy if you drop for example a needle or some small magnetic thing like that that's hard to get with the "claws".

You my Dear look Marvelous!
I'm so glad you are better.
I think when we are aware that we can't or shouldn't do something..that's when we are so aware of it.
Keep on feeling better!!

It probably just seems that way. You have to get yourself a grabber.

Look how slim you are!
I'm thinking it's just human nature when someone says, "Don't!" to make you dwell on it. I remember when my wisdom teeth were pulled and my tongue kept wandering that way, to the crater. And everyone knows what happens when they see a "Wet Paint" sign, right?
Just promise us you'll be careful, okay? Okay!

For me, I think when someone tells me not to do something it just naturally seems to happen more.

It's so good to see your smile. No wonder you lost your mojo, but I hope things have started to turn around now and that your wonderful mojo will soon be back.

It’s good seeing your selfies again. 😊. I agree with the people that say having a grabber might help. I love mine. ❤️

We love your smile. You only notice the movements you have to make when they hurt - most of the time most of us don't think about the ways we use our bodies. xxx mr T and F

Hello Sandra, :=)

It's good to see a post from you, and looking so slim and pretty in your selfie. I'm glad your feeling better, and hope you soon get your mojo back. My late husband used to swear that he dropped more things when he couldn't bend. I also drop a lot of things and can't pick them up without the help of those long handled things that have a pincer like bottom. They are truly invaluable to have around the house.

I've been unwell this week, ...still have a bad sore throat, is there any other kind, but it gives me earache as well. I'm wearing a hoodie to keep my throat and ears warm. I may not visit for a while.
All the best.
