Something Wicked This Way Comes!

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes. Shakespear its name is AI

While reading my emails, I happened to notice at the top of the page top right,
the circle with a b in the middle.
See below, top right.
I clicked on it to see what it was and what to my surprise found the latest Windows update to my Edge Browser that said simply Discover.
The discover is AI (artificial intelligence)
I combined the two pages below. the one one the left shows choices of Chat, Compose, Insight

Chat is simply chatting with AI and asking questions. AI answers.
Clicking on Compose brings up the screen that allows you to pick what you want AI to do for you.
Professional, casual, enthusiastic, informational, funny.
choose, short, medium or long,
choose paragraph, email, blog post, ideas.
I chose Funny, short, paragraph.
Typed 5 words from my word of the day for the week.
Zany, kith, obdurate, symbiosis and eighty-six.
Below is what he/she/it wrote in like 30 seconds.
from five words.

Zany Kith was a stubborn and obdurate man who refused to give up on his dream of creating a symbiosis between humans and plants. He spent years experimenting with different seeds, fertilizers and hormones, hoping to find the perfect combination that would allow him to grow leaves and flowers from his skin. He was so obsessed with his project that he neglected his family, friends and health. One day, he finally achieved his goal and sprouted a beautiful orchid from his forehead. He was overjoyed and ran outside to show the world his achievement. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the gardener who was trimming the hedges and accidentally eighty-sixed him with a pair of shears.

You can stop now, I know this is long. this is only on the EDGE browser by Microsoft. Below is the second thing I played with.

I typed these words

Hey everyone, welcome to my zany blog where I share funny stories from my life. Today I want to tell you about the time bob fell down in front of his kith and kin. It was hilarious!

We were having a family reunion at his house, and he was showing off his new lawn mower. He was so proud of it that he decided to do some yard work while we were all watching. Big mistake!

He was mowing the grass like a pro, but he didn't notice a big hole in the ground. He drove right into it and flipped over. He landed on his back with the mower on top of him. He looked like a turtle stuck on its shell.

I then picked funny, medium blog post.

We all ran to help him, but he was obdurate and refused to let us lift the mower. He said he was fine and he could get out by himself. He tried to wiggle his way out, but he only got more stuck.

He was so stubborn that we decided to 86 the yard work and leave him there. We went inside and had some cake while he struggled with the mower. We could hear him cursing and grunting from the window.

He finally got out after an hour, but he was covered in dirt and grass. He looked like a swamp monster. He was so embarrassed that he didn't talk to anyone for the rest of the day.

We still tease him about it every time we see him. He hates it, but we think it's funny. That's what family is for, right? It's a kind of symbosis: we make fun of him and he makes us laugh.

That's all for today, folks.

I don't think I have ever been so confused. So, what would the practical use be? I have this B!!

No need for my using it. But, the mower/turtle story was hilarious.

I grinned... because yesterday amanwhowantstostayanonymous did the high grass with a power scythe, I warned him about the leftovers from pitiful removed trees and he said yeeeeah I know, I live there as long as you. I went in and 5 minutes later manwhowantstostayanonymous came in too, scythe is damaged and his back too, because he stumbled over the tree trunks...

Well isn't that interesting. I don't read my email through my browser so I've never seen anything like that.
That's pretty cool how it makes that all up by itself.

The mower story is so funny. I use google and have seen the Bard, but I did not check it out. Take care, enjoy your day!

Heard a lot about AI in recent news articles and it does appear to becoming more prevalent in everyday life, sadly.

AI is scary I think.

We are with David. CAthy at Still Waters did one of those 'spot the AI story' in her blog a while back - it was all too easy. It has definitely improved since then. We wonder how long it will be before university students can no longer formulate their ideas into coherent drafting and resort to a few words into the AI scripting program and let machine learning do the rest. xxx Mr T and F

BOL MS my Daddy used to say Mama and I would talk to a telephone pole. You are talking to AI...and making great sentences with words.

Like the old song, I'm bewitched, bothered and BEWILDERED!!!

The computer came with Edge, but I prefer to use Chrome. Now I'm going to look and see if there's not a "B" lurking in plain sight.

That's TOO funny about Bob and the lawn mower, and I'm praying that story was a figment of your oh-so-fertile imagination? (Were that me, I, too, would be mortified at being laughed at.)

Pretty soon there will be no need for people - and no jobs - what then?

AI and Chat are so scary to me.
Teachers are very concerned and many are not allowing their kids to do a lot of their work at home. Kids don't have to think at all..the "Chat" does all the work for them and does it perfectly. Son Steve and Dave and I were talking about this the other day. He showed us an example of his request and in 20 seconds the Chat had written a 4 verse song that Steve had written the perameters and requested it provide.
Mind Blowing...
Its going to be impossible to know whats true and real anymore..The AI can think faster and more correct than we as humans can do..
Big Brother is now a reality.

I think humans should work on their own intelligence first before moving on the the artificial thing!

That would be fun to play with!

This AI is kind of creepy but I enjoyed what you did with it. I asked it to write a poem on birds a couple of weeks ago. I will share it soon.

Hi Sandra :=) AI is not for me, I find it a bit scary, but I also liked what you did with it.
Your story about Bob and the lawn mower is about independence carried too far.Even so I kinda feel sorry that Bob hurt his back and struggled to stand up, knowing people were laughing at his stubbornness.

I think you lost me. I know I am not interested in AI. So is that story true about Bob and the lawn mower?
