Appliance Attack

I asked AI for a woman being attacked by a washing machine and a refrigerator. I then cusomized the photos you see in black and white. When I asked it to create template for the Art of Blogging, the words came up using the word their where you see the word her... It gives the template but all of it can be customized, I changed this template a lot.
I told it I wanted to do a post about Being Attacked my my appliances.

Applicance Attack by MadSnapper

Our washer is over 5 years old.
I loved it the first few days,
I have hated if every day since them.
It makes a grinding, struggling noise while weighing the items to figure out how much water to use.
The water is not enough. Just let me pick my own please.
It doesn't wildly swish back and forth like my old ones did, and in fact I have no idea what it does, but it doesn't do what all my washers did in the past.
It says it is an agitator. AND IT IS!
Now to the point of this post!
The darn thing LOCKS when I push the ON button. The first few months, if I forgot something that I wanted in, I just did not add it.
I finally realized to push the on button while it was on and it would stop and allow me to open it.
A few days ago, the wash was done agitating me, and the light that blinks to say, Done, Dummy, you can now put your clothes in the dryer was blinking madly.
THE LID WOULD NOT OPEN. I pried, lifted, cursed and
came in the house and said
Well, the sheets are clean and wet but I can't get them in the dryer!
Bob huffs and puffs to match my demeanor when telling him,
walks out in the garage, yanks the plug out of the wall and
PLUGS IT BACK IN.
It popped right open.
Agitated because I did not think of that, and that he did not just say did you unplug it.
I am the computer person, but he thought of the reboot thing.
Reboot is necessary because the darn thing is a computer and all I wanted was an on/off button, and i got a Dashboard worthy of a Space Craft.
The worst part of it all, was the huge bruise I got on my forearm while battling with trying to open it.
Added to that, the day before, the refrigerator stabbed my other forearm not once but twice, using as its weapon of choice, the on/off switch for the light to come on/off when the door opens.
Even worse? this is not the first cut from the fridge!

This is 100 percent written by me. I tried to get AI to write a funny, sarcastic blog post and what a mess it wrote. I asked for a short one and it was twice as long as this and not nearly as good because it has no idea what it was trying to talk about.
It took me 3 times as long to fiddle with getting it to write a post than it did to do it myself.

Sorry to read about your injuries but we did laugh - at the way you expressed it. F is completely with you on washing machines. Why do they have to be so dashed complicated?

that's like living in a novel by stephen king... maximum ovedrive. I broke my middle finger while openeing a fridge in a store. I said this is a haunted beast, we take another one. seller said as a compensation he gives us 120 off... man said deal! ... uah....

Well you told that story perfectly. I was wondering how AI managed to write such a good story. I don't think I would care for that washing machine. I actually read a story recently about a young couple and one of their children had gotten locked inside one of those
Your book cover looks amazing. I like your author's photo.

Hello,
Your washer is agitating you and not your clothes.
What a story, no one should have to fight with a washing machine.
Take care, enjoy your day!

Sorry about your bruise, but I am sure that most people would agree that they don't make appliances like they used to! Where have you heard that expression before, applied to just about everything, it seems?

I hated my new washer from the beginning...takes so long to do a load. To get more water, before you ever turn it on, add a gallon or two of water...then there will be the added weight of the water for it to measure.

And sometimes it did the grinding sound, but not all the time. The only thing it did a proper job of was spinning the water out.

I hate all these new things...give me a stove with a dial for the oven temperature any day of the week.

I will hush...

Okay, you're not going to believe this. The washer we bought 5 years ago is exactly the same way -- right down to the grinding noise (that could wake the dead) and locking lid. The first year alone, we had the repair person out 3 times. He allowed, all the 'new-and-improved' washers (not) have been nothing but trouble -- but no-one's doing anything about it. My biggest complaint was the water conversation feature; the tank wouldn't fill and I was carrying pans of water to supplement. He showed me a trick where I leave the dial on 'bulky sheets' setting and it fills. I don't know what model you have, but I discovered by pressing the 'Start/Pause' button for 3 seconds it will unlock.

Sandra, you are a pure delight to my morning!!
Agitate...yes that kind of things does do that.
I hope you and your washer can come to a friendly partnership.
Mine is a front load washer so I can't open the door once the cycle has started. I can watch it sloshing around though.
At least AI gives you Blog Fodder (:0)

You are now the AI Master!! This just shows that some things are not meant to be computerized, and are better old fashioned! But I wonder if there are even any left now...

I must have the exact washer you have - I know all the buttons you speak about. So far it has been okay - but I will try to remember the rebooting technique if I need it.

I miss the days of simple washing machines. I don't need all the bells and whistles. Great post!

I agree they don't make appliances SIMPLE any more!! Louis Dean always says - when we are shopping for something new - "I just want a plain simple 'whatever' with an on and off switch and it doesn't have to do everything including wiping the baby's BUTT!!!

When I read this is scares me. I hate the new washers that are out there. At Amber's there is no sink downstairs by the washer so she has to take the cap from Downey and rinse it upstairs. I never know how to use Adam and Gabby's washer or dryer when we are staying there. I just kinda guess....
