This story started at 4:30 AM, Monday morning.
Bob yelled down the hallway
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY PILLS?"
I went running in the kitchen and he handed me his 7 day pill box that
has 1 fish oil, 1 All In One Vitamin in it.
WHAT IS THAT? I yelled.
The pill that has the black stuff is a vitamin the slug looking thing is the fish oil that is normally gold.
I zipped locked it in a baggie, and at 9 am drove to Publix and
showed it to our pharmacist. He said What is that? I said We hoped you would know.
He said He has never seen anything like it before.
I bought new vitamins in Publix, and a new pill container and walked out the door.
Seeing the Sign 3 doors down, that said Super Cut Salon, I thought, I am going to find out how much a haircut costs.
This is a BIG DEAL... no one has cut my hair since 1985 but my husband Bob.
Tired of me crying because they made me look like Cesar Agustus, he became my in-house Salon Super Cutter.
I walked in the door and seeing only one lady at the desk, said, what do you charge for just a haircut?
She said $19.00. I had intended to get the price, because Bob is having a hard time cutting my hair, with his hands a little shaky, arms up in the air, knees a little rocky, I decided to
Try it Out!
I showed her the purple hair do I wanted, oh wait! that is a dream, not true.
I did it,
Heather Cut my hair, I thanked her over and over that Ceasar was not in the mirror when she was done.
I asked her
Make it so I can wash it, let it air dry, fluff it with my fingers.
Blend it, leave it the same but shorter, and leave the bangs not straight but feathered!
and HERE IT IS
Because of the wrinkles and chins, I added my Avatar so you
Can Focus On the Hair Cut, not the FACE.
Bob was a tad unhappy when I came home, but he will get over it.
Since I had not paid for a haircut for 40 years, I had no idea what to tip her.
I gave her 5 dollars, for the 19.00 cut. Was that right
PS I hate being ME, I fret over everything, what she thought, was it enough, did she think I was nuts,
DID I TALK TO MUCH?
PS again, If I were young and if I were beautiful, I would Love to have that magenta/purple hair.

She did a really good job! And both you and I have a thing about feathered bangs, NOT straight! Did you ever figure out about the pills? Maybe they were really old and had gone bad? I think I would never buy that brand again! You need to open one of the new ones and look inside!! We have an older lady in our church whose thing is being a color expert, she weaves and designed our church pulpit background. Anyway, her hair is styled like yours, and she always has it either turquoise or purple. It looks gorgeous, and she is no spring chicken.
I like it ... it is so great for summer ... what said Beau? ;O)
that is a a thing with the pills... I never saw such a thing... wow...
I am extremally curious about the pills. I'm assuming they didn't look like that when you put them in there.
Nice hair cut and that's not a bad price either. Where I go, she charges $25. I always give a $5 tip. I have no idea if that's enough or not but that's what I give.
Hello,
The pills do look strange, is hot enough to make them melt?
Your new do looks cute. I have been cutting my own hair and hubby trims any bad parts for me. I think 5$ for a tip is good.
Take care, enjoy your day!
Love the haircut! Not the pills, though!

Eeek.... no wonder Bob yelled... and your hair do is fab! YAM xx
Perfect, it looks great.
I have this problem now that Tom is not here to cut my hair. Like you he had cut my hair for years and me his.
I attempted to chop it round and it's okay for now but I could't wear it down and have to pin it up all of the time. I shall have to bite the bullet and pay to get it done but I begrudge the price they charge, lol

Nice haircut, Sandra, and I have been going to local Super Cuts ever since the pandemic closed the hair salon I had been going to since we moved to NH. That place eventually re-opened, but by then I was used to paying less so stayed with SC. A senior discount is offered here and I believe a cut is around the same price as you paid, so your tip seems OK.
Your hair looks great but I think you should have gone for the purple. Make a statement, throw caution to the wind. At your age you’re entitled to! A five dollar tips sounds generous to me, but then again in my follicle-impoverished state I have no need of hairdressers.
Looking good! I was like, "Nooooo, she didn't." Then, "She DID!"
I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who frets over gratuities and the like. Even if I know I'm never going to see that waitress/waiter again, I don't want them mad at met. Or worse, them thinking I'm showing off. So glad when they started putting 'suggested tip' at the bottom of their checks.
Those mutuant pills look horrific. What a scare for Bob. I'm surprised the pharmacist didn't whip out his microscope and take a better look; at least offer an opinion what might have happened. (Or, do they not use microscopes anymore?)
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NO what in the world?!
That is just plain bizarre. I love your haircut and that is an excellent price. We pay 18.00 for just a wet cut!!
The pop up trailer on my blog actually had an NC license plate. I agree about all the stickers they have done some traveling
Hugs Cecilia
Wow, A+++ and 3 gold stars...
I am proud of you just plain doing that!
It looks fantastic .
What about the pills???
What was that "stuff"?
Sue
Good for you in getting your hair cut!!! It looks great and I'm sure Bob realizes he wasn't able to do it as easily as he had done for years. It was time. Your tip was perfect!
If Louis Dean gets moisture in his pill boxes they mess up. Which reminds me - I cannot find the prescription I picked up earlier this month for his Eliquis. Insurance won't allow a refill too early but the pharmacist gave us a partial one. I don't know what I'm going to do - he takes it twice a day....maybe call his cardiologist and ask her.
PS.....I used to have lavender hair.....but I was just 14-15 years old.
I may try that again someday!
That is crazy about the pill. Yuk!
Love your haircut and that is what I would have tipped.
Those pills look awful....but your hair looks wonderful!!!
your hair cut is a savior and you will feel so much better having it professionally done. Here in New Zealand, you are not required to tip the cutter - in fact not much tipping takes place to do with anything...
F got a haircut like that yesterday (£21) but not nearly so good looking as yours. You both have very similar hair colour - the hair cutter said he liked the colour of F's hair. She is thinking about dying hers lavender.... xxx Mr T
I love your haircut! Sorry I have been gone recently - Rick has been in hospital for heart trouble and I have had my cataracts removed! LOL
What was that in your pill box?
Yuck about the pills, but that's a great haircut. $5 is a fine tip.
That is a beautiful haircut she gave you. I am never sure about the tip, and just hope what I give is enough. I would love the color hair also but wouldn’t have the courage. Pills? Yuk! I opened up a flashlight that I had kept in our basement for yonks the other day and the batteries had corroded and leaked all over the place. It was nasty, just like those pills. Got no idea what caused that.
