Senior Sighs!!!

AI and I Creation

I walk to the fridge with coffee cup in hand and turn back to the sink, which is where I was going to put it.

I pick up the cell phone and walk to the desktop computer, my intention to watch a YouTube video on how to add a fingerprint to the Galaxy. Noticing there are 14 new emails, I read and answer and delete. I open YouTube and HAVE NO CLUE WHY?  I play, I think, I strain to remember and giving up go outside with Beau.

I fill the air with whining about my memory loss to Bob and Beau. Walking back inside I pick up the phone to check for texts, and because I hate putting a 6-digit password in, I suddenly remember and almost run down the hall with it in my hand and pull up YouTube and now I simply pat the on button with my pointer finger and it OPENS.

I might forget the password that opens it when the fingerprint no longer works. My Memory seems to be disappearing faster than my fingerprints

NOPE! I am not gonna go passwordless with the phones, but that is another post

Do you know Seniors lose their fingerprints as they age?

Hello,

I got tired of putting in the phone's password. I should do something to make it safe. I did not know seniors lose their fingerprints. I have learned I have to do right away whatever I am thinking about or I tend to forget. I can not be side tracked. Take care, have a great day!

Here is my recommendation - put your phone in the drawer, leave it there, and go for a nice long walk in the park. It’s pleasurable, therapeutic, healthy and the world will not have changed one iota after a morning away from your devices. Most of what you will have forgotten was doubtless unimportant anyway.

I just changed from password to pattern swipe. A tad slower than fingerprint, but significantly less frustrating than the dabbing at numbers! YAM xx

That explains why my fingerprints never work! Oh, and facial thing doesn't work either, probably the glare from my head top LOL!

So glad I'm not a 'lone ranger'! You've just described my new normal. So far, I've resisted the fingerprint shortcut; even Norton's new "let me remember this password for you."
Trust no-one, nuthin!

PS - I didn't realize our fingerprints disappear as we age. Suppose this will result in a new generation of geriatric criminals?

I have to say...the think I love most about my iPhone is the face id...It sees my face, knows its me and unlocks!

I usually have trouble with finger print and always have trouble with face recognition. I don't mind my password, would rather go straight to it.

Now I'm wondering what happened to that first cup of coffee, and why there is another cup on the floor. I love the aqua fridge and really want one.

I don't have any password on my phone right now. I know I should but I got tired of doing and you already know I've had trouble with the finger print in the past.
I didn't know that seniors lose their fingerprints as they age. Interesting.

Hi Sandra:=)
I cant tell you the times I have made cups of tea or coffee and forgotten to drink it, found it, put it in the microwave to heat up again, and only discovered it when I go to put the soup to heat up in the microwave at dinner time.Lapses of memory are becoming more frequent. If I think of doing something I've got to do it right away. I can't get distracted or I forget.

Whenever I have needed to use my finger prints for identification purposes, they are not accepted, because they don't show up.

Mom has no luck with her fingerprint. It works for a few times, and then it doesn't. The screen is just too sensitive or else it is dirty:). Too much moistuirzer on the hands

There was me thinking you had put your coffee in the fridge, and your phone in the sink or domething. Did not know that about finger prints - better start planning my ultimate heist now while I still have a few braincells.

I go upstairs for something and come back down realizing I went up there without bringing back down what I was supposed to get. It happens all the time lately. Rowing up the same river, using the same paddles, all in the same boat :)
