Snips of phone screen above. I had several pop ups showing the photos I took and where and when and names and addresses |
DEAR BLOGGERS, sorry this is so long, but it IS Saturday and I hope it doesn't take to much of your time.
***********************************
Dear Google, please stop sending me these photos I took from my car window and uploaded to Google photos.
I do not want to post the photos on the business websites show everyone in the world who took the photos. (its a dumb idea, since no one would see them unless they were already on the website of the business, so what is the point?)
I uploaded 100 photos taken in Village of the Arts and instantly these pops with all info popped up on my phone, telling the name of the business, the address, days open ETC. Just from me driving by and snapping a photo.
Village of the Arts is a live/work community. Artist are allowed to sell whatever they make from their homes. Special license is require to run a business from your home.
I did not know the names of the business or which homes were/were not a business. At first I thought it did that for every photo, but it was only the ones that are a business.
****************************
MY MAD MIND THOUGHT.... If you are living off the grid hiding from someone, do not take a photo of a business, or a person or dog or cat in front of a business because They Are Watching and can Tell Where you were when you took the photo...
Dear NBC, I don't care if Peyton Manning and Kelly Clarkson are co-hosting the Olympics but just in case some of my blogger friends care, now you KNOW
Dear Myra, of Respice, Prospice, I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your idea of writing letters to people on my blog Post.. You do it so well on yours and I Hope I do to.

Dear McDonalds, my friend Melinda was on her way to work and the line at your window was very long, She parked and went inside to grab a breakfast sandwich and was told NO, she could not order and pay cash. She was told she had to use the automated kiosk and use a debit/credit card.
You refused to take her order unless she went through the window.
I AM SHOCKED TO THE CORE.. Just be aware, She is spreading the word about you as I type on FB and other places. How Dare You Refuse to take order and cash? The MadSnapper knows, soon the world will know.
I have one more silver dollar and I am taking it to McDonalds to make a stink!

Sorry folks, I have ONE MORE letter.
Dear Lee Child, you are one of my most favorite of authors. I am in the process of trying to read book #28, after reading all the others, and am not really happy to find that I have flipped back to 1992 and the Jack Reacher I know and love, is not the same guy. I miss the real Reacher. The book Reacher, not the TV series Reacher, what a miscast that is.
I am happy to see #29 Jack is Back and hitching rides. I still love you.

What a great idea this letter writing is. I know that no matter what I look at or where I look, every place I go, I see that item somewhere. If a place has ads, it is in the ads....or I get actual emails..
The McDonalds thing is really true? Yikes! Well, so many criminals are found by having their cell phones, you can tell a lot with them.
Love the letter writing idea. The McDonald's story is awful. Hope she doesn't go any more. Unfortunately, it won't be long before we become a cashless society. I'm not sure what you are telling us about your photos but cell phones and sites like Google photos or Google in general know everything about you by tracking what you do.
Hello,
It is true about the photos, everyone must be careful with the photos they post online. My hubby does not like me sharing photos of our grandchildren.
It is crazy the location of photo is saved too. The writing letters is a good idea. The McDonald's story is crazy, why would they turn away a customer who wants to pay cash. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend.
Myra had a good idea about writing letters. I think it's cute. It's unfortunate that Company's no longer care about Customer Service and how we think or feel about anything.
Don't know who Kelly Clarkson nor Peyton Manning is because we haven't watched the Olympics since the 60s, so, I'm good. lol
Google does that to me too if I snap a photo of whatever while out. I "think" there's a place on the phone where one can turn off the tracking history. I'll have to check and see. I figure if I'm ever "on the run" I'll leave the phone at home. Like, when we'll have to start attending Church underground because our Government has become so demonic that they'll start arresting Christians. Oh, right, like they're talking about doing now ...
Blessings.
Sometimes I find it rather creepy that my phone is stalking me. I get emails showing me where I've been. On the internet, it keeps giving me ads for things I've looked at.
That is crazy about McDonalds. It makes me not want to ever go there again because they are not taking cash. I may have to stop at the one here, go inside and see if they'll take cash.
Another good reason to avoid eating at MacDonalds.
McDonald's has lost my business already. Ever since the "pandemic" they have really changed and not for the better. I won't waste my money or my time there and save my tummy for better things. HOpefully when we are traveling there will be other options! I like your letter writing and Myra's too. That's a great idea! I may have to do that occasionally as well! Some things just need to be written in a letter and get it off my chest! LOL. This was fun. Have a fun day!

Switch off all location access on your phone. For any apps that require access for position, it will prompt and you can select 'this time only' for immediate use. You may have to go through all apps individually to remove access. YAM xx
Dear me I don't get all that news. I don't have the new app opened on my phone. But I do love the recap of photos of Madi and other things that pop up on the day some years ago.
Hugs Cecilia
Those were good letters and the one reminds me why I try to avoid all things Google. The Jack Reacher series is pretty darn good.
Woo-hoo!!! I'm so glad you're doing this, too. I was going to publish one yesterday and realized by nightfall I didn't have enough recipients. (lol)
That's pretty creepy about location access. Thanks to Yamini, I'm going to do that (turn off) on mine. No, I hadn't heard about Peyton Manning/Kelly Clarkson. He's a good guy, but man, how KC gets on my nerves. Why is anyone allowed to be so chirpy happy all the time? McDonald's used to have the best breakfasts, but what a turn-off! One of their local drive-through employees was recently arrested for copying customer's credit and debit card info.
Oh, and finally! Thanks for the heads' up on Reacher #28. I'll be skipping that one.
Fun post!
How interesting about the photos. And I hate to see one my favorite book characters changed...as if someone else wrote the book! Hmmmm!
I tell you what BIG BROTHER is watching and listening to us everywhere. It is creepy and scary. You just look one thing up - or talk around the phone and you get advertisements on it - BEWARE.
Thanks about Kelly- Payton info.
And let me also tell you there are many places that won't take cash anymore. Sad day, but it is Biblical.
I still go back to where Covid ruined just about everything. Businesses here are dropping like flies.

This is a very interesting post. I don't like that they linked your photos like that. I have to tell you that lately on Facebook and Instagram I am so tired of all the adds. I click to unfollow and Facebook gets mad at me and starts showing me old post I already liked. That is crazy about McDonald's. I would definitely have walked out.
Yup, this is going to be a "cashless" society and we will be tracked for every thing we do, buy, eat, go..
The New World One World Order is on its way...
What a crazy scary world it is turning out to be.
Love your letters..they are right on..

Very interesting article. In fact, if you search for a product with them, it keeps showing you ads. Interesting Blog, I follow.
Oh my gosh, this was a hoot, well maybe not about McDonalds, that's major weird. Always an education to visit.
I don't use my iPhone as a phone, but I always say don't use my location when I use the apps. I also use DuckDuckGo as a browser, not Google. I love the idea of letters to organizations. 👍
