On Bob's Truck this Tire cost 220.66... I divided the total bill by 4 to get that number. The tire cost was 164.99, the rest were taxes, dump the old tires fees, the thingy you put the air in the tires with, assorted other fees but they did not charge for the AIR but maybe next time.
Not a good chance of next time though,
$880.00 for 70,000 Mile Tires, $550.00 for 50,000 miles and B had to have the 70.
the truck is 19 years old and has 74,000 miles on it and
He now puts 20 miles per week.
He is 87, I am 79.
You Do the math... he says these are better tires and look better.
Plus, they have white letters.
PS: the only reason I posted this is for my record keeping. I the future I can search and find how old the tires are, or what kind we bought.

Not a good decision. So sorry.
Running a car and maintaining it is an expense, but in our house where hubby is the driver it helps us get out and about in our local neighbourhood - now and again further afield. Keep well Sandra and Bob.
we wish you always a safe drive... as long as we can dtrive we are real somehow... tires are very expensive here now too... like all things... sigh...
Tires are not cheap, even for my little Corolla.

Wade would have bought the most expensive ones as well. I think it may be a man thing. I would have gone with the cheaper ones. I've been waiting for my vehicle to need new tires. Every inspection they tell me they are still good though and I breathe for another year.
Now don’t go trying to make sense of decisions made when tyres, trucks and guys are involved. Better to contemplate the meaning of life!
At least whoever inherits it will still have 30000 miles left in the tyres.😁
Thank you for the reminder and the warning! You just reminded me that we need new tires. The warning is, don't do what he did! LOL. But then again we probably wouldn't. Hubby here goes for whatever is less expensive just because that's what we can afford, regardless! So what if we just have to replace them again sooner? They were cheaper! LOL. So really, there's no real logic to the whole thing. Just let them do what they want to do and be thankful we have them still to do what they want to do! Amen? Now, maybe you should just take a nice ride on those pretty new tires! Break them in and get your money's worth! LOL. Have a blessed day!

All those add-on fees no-one talks about make me so cross. Like when we bought my Taos and I told them we wanted the absolute positive bottom line. Liars.
At least when y'all sell the truck, those added-value tires should make a difference to the buyer.

Yipes! Sorry that was so costly. Y'all will be on bread and butter for awhile, I imagine. I dread getting new tires. Can't imagine what the costs will be with the clown show in charge. We've been buying our tires from Tire Rack Distribution Center in Midway, Georgia. It's part of a nationwide tire company. There's no shipping charges added to the costs. Steve orders the tires, we go pick them up, then a mechanic or dealer installs them. I might be getting new knobby's (off road tires) for my Honda NC700X motorcycle. Those we'll have installed in Jax because m/c tires are very specialized. Considering the economic climate they will give us a good deal too.

I was just looking at my calendar, next week will be the 1 year anniversary of 2 rear tires. So expensive and that's all we can afford. When we need new ones I don't know where the money will come from. Car is in such "needy" condition that we don't go very far any more..That's a Bitter Pill for us galevantors to swallow!
I guess we just have to "Keep on Truckin' ".

Yes, we not only bought a new used Jeep, we also bought new tires for it. Better traction on the snow, so there was some reason for it here. Those added fees really added up!
I think about things the way you do..figuring my car, and possibly the tires even might last me my lifetime. But I know the tires in new cars dont always last that long. How ever, I have had this car since the end of November and will only hit 1000 miles maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.

I sure don't like it when the new tire bill comes due. That's just way too expensive for molded bulk rubber.
Cars, used or new, are just darn expensive. I just want a straight up prediction of the cost of car repairs.
The tires look great. We just had work done on my Mini Cooper. We spent about $1,400. They mentioned tires but I have about 10,000 miles left on the ones I have. My mini is a 2008.
