Breakfast with Daddy (Beauspeak)

Mama says I should tell you, that I am very happy that now that daddy is in a wheelchair, THEY eat at the  kitchen table and not the way up high breakfast bar that they have eaten at for 38 years.

Daddy is famous for dropping things on the floor and I wait to see what falls.

I watch because every now and then, he pulls a piece of crust off his toast and gives it to me.. Mama is taking the photos so there is no proof of this part of the story.
Mama makes Daddy the same breakfast every day. Daddy ate oatmeal and toast for 2 months. Every day. and now for 3 weeks he chooses, Grits, with one egg stirred in and a half cup of water, zapped 2 minutes and a lot of shredded cheese stirred in after removing from microwave.  Hold on, there is a reason to tell you this.
The chair you see below that is empty is Mama's Chair and when she is almost done with her grits, she laughed and giggles and lets me suck the grits off her finger. She said I look like the lamb I am while sucking it off. Daddy laughs too.

It sounds great that you all eat around the table now and your dad is mobile in his wheelchair. Yes, keeping a close eye on stray food bits is a very important job, Beau, keep up the great work.

That meal is making me hungry. I can't give bread pieces to one of my dogs, Jack, anymore. He's highly allergic to veg's and grain. It makes the poor little guy sick, so, I don't give those to any of the doggies 'just in case' they have problems too.
Hope your day is easy and blessed!
Love. 💓

It's always wise to stay near the table when your parents are eating, Beau.

Scully also like to hoover up things that drop from the bench to the floor (like the 1 kg pot of yoghurt i dropped one day - she lives in hope it will happen again)

Is it easier for you now that Bob can get into a wheelchair? Beau is a darling. Our granddog is a great vacuum cleaner under the table.

We lost Bug not long ago and when we drop stuff on the floor we still say, "That's Bug's."
