BAD News:Bob has hives from the drug and a rash,
my biopsy on my foot came back squamous carcinomas, appt on Nov 7 to discuss treatment. I am sure she will do chemo cream because it is on nothing but skin and bone and no room to cut anything out.
I continue to lose weight, which is a concern.
Good News: You may remember the chaos caused by 8 alarms set on the phone. 10 days are up, meds are gone, the 2nd photo is after I went on organizing mode, and below is NOW. All but 2 alarms are turned off, 5am 5 pm.
We are back to almost NORMAL for us.
I am slightly OCD, and I decided I had to make the house back as close as it was 7 months ago, 3 months since the hospital bed moved in the living room.
In a frenzy, I cleaned off shelves in to closets, tossed and tossed and set up a nurse station in the bedroom and living room, each with only what I use each day and night. Bob uses living room in day and bedroom at night. I duplicated each room with bedside commodes and all supplies are off the bed and out of sight in closets.

Well hooray for being back to somewhat normal. It must have been nice to be able to eliminate some of those alarms and be done with some meds.
So which drug is cause Bob's rash and hives? Will he have to stop taking it?
Sorry to hear about your biopsy. If I remember correctly you said that the chemo cream was an easy treatment though.
I'm sorry about the hives and the skin cancer. I hope you just get to use the cream again.
But- you've done amazing in the house! Lots of work in your already busy days. I think it will help with a more peaceful day to day life.
Now to get a little weight on you!
Sorry about the bad news, I hope that will get better too... Well done on the organizing! I've been trying to organize/reorganize some things of my own according to my situation at present. Like my stock of various bandaging materials, and what to keep where, to have things "within reach" from favourite places. Scratching my head still about my bathroom, I have "sort of" solved some things but thinking I may also have to consult an occupational therapist about the possibility of getting help with a couple of more long-term changes. (I've had good help from primary care OTs in the past in connection with other problems.) Just feeling I need to think a bit on my own first, what might work vs if it might cause other problems instead...

Like the weather, mixed... but on balance, more to the good, I feel. Trusting that the tx for yourself is as straightforward as a cream... POTP for you directly now! YAM xx
We vote NO on any future bad news, you've had enough already. Great big hugs from all of us dear friend.
The bad news is not good, but the good news compensates. You have done wonders with your reorganisation. Beau continues to watch over you both.
Gosh I've had hives from allergic reaction and they are miserable.
I hope Bob has some cream for the itch.
I'm sorry about the biopsy and weight loss you are experiencing.
Do you expect that is from stress.
Hugs to you and the double B's
Cecilia
Oh goodness.. Bob does not need extra health issues. Prayers that this rash goes away SOON! Please keep us updated on your foot..prayers being lifted for you as well. You have been very busy organizing everything. Like you, my OCD takes over some days and I have to get things in order so I can function. This is a good picture of Beau.
Prayers for you all! I’m so glad you could clean up some of the clutter. That should help a lot, and also the less chaotic pill schedule. ❤️❤️💕❤️💕
The home health nurses must love you! (I seriously doubt others are as organized.)
I'm so sorry about the pending biopsy -- and weight loss, too. Stress can manifest itself in so many directions. I just wish the doc could have given you an idea of his/her game plan to address the carcinoma. Praying!
Man you are a true angel and I pray Bob knows it. My friend has no one like you and there is such a big difference. You really worked hard and have that place looking good and as normal as possible.
Sorry to hear about the bad news, but it's good to hear Beau is doing well. My paws are crossed that you will get only good news in the future.
I know it feels good to get things organized and the clutter out of the way. I am sorry to hear about Bob's hives/rash. That is miserable stuff. and I am also sorry about your biopsy results. I do hope the cream will do the trick. Praying for you...and also to find a way to gain a little weight back. I know you are just run ragged and that will certainly do it. And I also know you have dietary restrictions. I hope you are getting enough nutrition. Can you drink Ensure or something like that? I know they make them in a lot of different formulas for different diet issues. Praying for you both with these current 'events". Glad Beau is doing better. He's a sweetheart. (((HUGS)))
You did an amazing job! And Bob is still sleeping in your bed? Are you able to get any sleep yet with him beside you? And no more zillions of alarms!! The spare bedroom looks really lovely!! I still love the little lamp tree with little light globes.
Awww friend, I don't like hearing about your cancer and the hives too. Praying the cream will do the trick and Bob will stop itching.
You must stop loosing weight which I think will happen now that the crazy meds routine is over and the chaos has been cleaned up. It will sure make you feel better.
Love you and give you hugs
Sue
I hope the cream helps. Very sorry about that. Sending good wishes and huggs. As for the home space, I love that you're taking it back and making it like normal again. I feel that. There's something nice about that, comforting.
The red light is neat. I never saw that before. I like the idea that it doesn't get you awake, awake.
PS: Last night we opened two minis and it was Lidia Deets and Freddy from NIghtmare on Elm Street. WIll share pictures next week. They are so stinkin' cute.
Boo on the hives. Was it the infusion? He's been through so much, and so have you, and now you have the skin lesion to deal with. Ugh. You've done a great job with organizing things, I hope you can get rid of the cancer and the hives are due to a med he really didn't need so much anyway.
Hives! What a bain...and yet another burden to bear. Praying they will soon go away. That's too bad they came from the infusions, does that mean they will havwe to stop giving them. When I was getting hives from the chemo I had way back in 2007, they would add anti allergy medicine to prevent them, plus gave me benadryl.
I pray that cancerous lesion can easily be treated...
And I do hope your weight stabilizes, else you might fade away!
Nice to hear that Beau is doing better and approves of the decluttering.
Prayers for all of you and a ton of big hugs!
Isn't it nrilliant when the 'I've got to sort this out' kicks in and you go into frenzy mode making hime into home again? I love it when I find that energy (Mr B hates it because I chuck stuff out - he's a hoarder)
Sorry to be late getting to this post, but I was out all day yesterday leading an outing to the north shore of Lake Erie. A mixed bag of events and circumstance here, but overall on the positive side I would say. Even a “normal” day for you would daunt most of us!
You have been busy. Way to go on getting things organized like that. Sorry about Bob's hives and your biopsy. You should be proud of yourself for accomplishing all of that.
Gosh you have been working hard. No wonder you are losing weight. You are so well organised, well done. Life seems to be getting into a workable routine. Hope your skin cancer can be treated easily.
I'm wth you, and like it better when everything is where it's supposed to be. I makes me less stressed, I hope it does the same for you.
Big hugs to you and nose kisses to Beau,
Beth
You are so smart how you did all the organizing and tossing and so forth. And I love the red light. I wouldn't have thought of that, but it is perfect. I can't stand clutter either. My house might get dirty (dog hair) but don't leave clutter!! Love to you all and special pets to Beau.
