First Time Ever in 81 years

I SAW THE BLOOD MOON ON MARCH 3, 2026 AT 6 AM, THE PHOTO ABOVE IS FROM OUR LOCAL CHANNEL. We were watching the early news and it said the eclisspe will be in the next hour and gave the time. I stood and watch this sight, all photos from NBC 6 South Florida all I had was my cell phone. what I saw was exactly like this. Wow.

At 3 am when I let Beau out the moon was huge, white and Full, then the white looked like a sliver, like the one the cow jumped over in the poem. then as it turned it go like the one above and by the end I was blood red.

I'm so happy you saw it. I missed it and I was so mad at myself. I was thinking March 3rd but not realizing it was March 3rd at midnight.

I love seeing this post because I did not get to see the moon. I feel like I've been living under a rock lately! Playing catch up now...

Hi Sandra :)
Fantastic photos of the blood moon. I didn't get to see it, the sky was overcast. Lucky you were watching the news and knew to lookout for it and did a splendid job of capturing this phenomenal sight.

Terrific sightings ... I just didn't have the Umph to get up and see it.
Love it when the moon seems like red blood . That full moon was amazing earlier though.

I'm glad you got to see the eclipse. We weren't up for it, but I think it was cloudy then anyway.

I know you wanted to see it and finally you did! I am happy for you. What awesome pictures from a cell phone. I am shocked!

I should've called you! I was outside watching it all the way until it turned red, and then I went back inside. I stood down on the edge of the very dry Still Waters Pond and snapped lots of pictures with my cell phone. I shared the only ones that were worth sharing. Cell phones just don't do it justice, but neither does my "good phone". But I enjoyed the experience of watching it. I'm glad you watched it "with me".

I'm so happy for you! We went camping once about 50 years ago when there was a partial eclipse. I woke up in the middle of the night and the moon was red like that. But much smaller and less spectacular. 😊 ❤️

That's so cool! Honestly, I'd forgotten about it -- then, the girls got me out earlier than usual about 4 and I saw it. Do you suppose animals can sense these things?

Wow, how awesome. I've never seen a blood moon. I do remember one time at work one of the guys coming in and saying wow, did you see the blood moon? Nope I was in here frying donuts...lol

I wish that I had been there with you. We would have oohed and ahed together, and I would have been looking very carefully for the green cheese and cows jumping over it. It makes me sad that we plan once again to send people up there and to even investigate mining it. We have already screwed up the Earth and we can’t wait, it seems, to blast off to defile another object of our inexhaustible greed.

How wonderful that must have been to watch! I couldn't pry myself out of bed, but oh my, I wish I had!

I didn't even know this was happening. We go to bed really early and don't watch the news...great picture of it, though! I love seeing nature.
