Random Pics - Rambling Words

Got New Shoes....Oh Yes! now I will have to walk.
the good news is, I saw these on QVC and since I have to try on shoes before I buy, I searched Google for a local store, walked in the door and a big sign hanging in the ceiling said for today only

30 % off every item in the store......

Seen in Walmart Parking Lot, it has 2 tennis balls in it
Before you ask, I have NO CLUE why I took this pic.....MADsnapper

What is up with
RANT:
We now have what Bob calls the Midnight Mailman.. our mail is delivered between 5:30 and 6 PM...

At least 3 times a week, we get someone else's mail in our box, 2 times in the past 2 days.
Bob's magazines are crammed and torn when stuffed in our box....

When we paid 4 cents for a stamp, it was always on time... Go figure!

In 2013 USPS lost 9 Billion dollars.... it's revenue was 66 billion... SAY WHAT?

Our mail is delivered to a PO box at the local post office as there isn't street delivery here, except on the main street. And, whenever we go on a road trip and have mail held, it is usually stuffed into the small box vs, being put into a larger locker. And, yes, I always nicely ask that the box NOT be overstuffed.
You will be a standout in those shoes and don't let the wicked witch see them, pretty Sandra.

MS I love love love your new red walking shoes!! I bet they are comfy too. I know why you took the pic of the wagon with 2 tennis balls...because you COULD and because it was funny.

Oh dear don't get me started on mail. I will say our mailman, whom we call not Earl.is excellent but mail in general is suffering.

Years ago we thought his name was Earl. He was out for some time so B asked the sub if Earl was sick..the sub said do you mean Tony. So now we call him not Earl

I like your shoes! Great that they were on sale at the store.

When I mailed Baby and Jake's pkg. I was first in line at the p.o. (I got there a few min. before they opened.) An older man came waltzing in as the postal clerk opened the "garage door" to the counter and the man just walked up and started asking the clerk questions!!! It took everything in me not to lash out!!! Finally the clerk told the man "excuse me" and called me to his window!!!!!

Well, in my little one horse town, there is no street mail delivery, just P.O. Boxes. Every now and then we get someone else's mail in our box, but not often. I'm just glad we still have a P.O. It's been to 4 hours a day though.

Cool shoes! And about the USPS, it is frustrating that our local PO is now closed from 11:30 AM on. So our mail that's picked up at our rural box doesn't go out until the NEXT day. Grrr.

Recently, a mail woman left a pkg on our porch that was for 110 on the next street over. I called to her just before she got back in her truck. When I told her it wasn't mine, she said..."Yea, I get these streets mixed up." Uh,that's not a good thing for a USPS person!!

I agree with everyone else, the shoes are cool. I like the color too. Hope the midnight mailman returns to his previous work time :)

Those are super cute shoes! I would love to have that handy wagon also. I could pull my goats around.

All I get is junk mail that I don't want. They cut services, cut locations, cut hours, raise rates and wonder why they lose money. I once had a lost package, but it wasn't really lost, just sitting in a tracked-to location and not moving. To request an investigation I had to go through some rigamarole online and the guy I initially spoke to at the post office said it would come to him to investigate anyway. I just had to do all the red tape to get it to him, even though I was looking him in the eye as he told me what to do.

Love the shoes and a great deal on top of it! I wouldn't care about the time of the mail but I would be very mad if my magazine were shoved in and torn! Photo does remind of those crazy Walmart photos I get in emails.

I love love love the new shoes. They look so snappy, but also comfy. I am just glad that the courts forbid the Post Office to close on Saturday! Our mail usually comes between 2 and 4, but much earlier in the spring, go figure!

Love those shoes. They look comfy and the red is so happy looking.
Mail is frustrating. Ours goes to a box at the corner. We all have a little box there. Usually delivered around noon and thankfully fairly accurate. Don't like having to trek to the box in the rain though.

The wagon. Your funny. I did Spring cleaning two days and shopping today. I tell you.

I should of been the one that needs that wagon. I am beat.

Cant you see Sid pulling me in that with a pair of red shoes like yours.

Great blog.

I agree...say what!! We get torn mail all the time. Sometimes I imagine that they throw all the mail on the floor and then dance on it. That is strange about the night delivery...I thought they closed at 4 or 4:30...I'll bet he is not supposed to deliver that late. Hmm.

I LOVE your new Sketchers. I've always liked that brand of shoe but I haven't seen any like those. I have to look for them.
That's crazy that your mail is delivered that late. We occasionally get the wrong mail but not often.

Those shoes are really cute and they look comfortable. Even better since you got them on sale. That is a nice looking cart, I could put lots of yard debris in one of those.

We have been lucky with our mail delivery. A few problems but not often.

I think your mailman has been in training with our mailman. It's really rather ridiculous nowadays. I didn't know MadSnapper needed a reason to take a picture.

Love your new casual walkers and you got a great deal on them. We like to see the little red mail van at any time around here so long as it's a postcard or greetings card and not junk.

We get maik at a super mailbox centre down the road. Soon all homes will have to fetch their mail from such a box in the GTA! Horrible mail experience in winter when you have to climb over snow banks:(

Love the shoes and how lucky...you walked in the store just at the right time. You must have the same mail carrier we have. I tell hubby all the time that since he retired the post office has gone to pot. It really has steadily gone down hill in service ever since he retired. They started a lot of changes just before he retired, he hated them and said what they were starting was not going to work well, I do believe he knew what he was talking about. Hugs

I really like your new kicks! I think that is what all the cool cats call them now! lol We have our mail delivered to the post office. I do have junk mail coming to the house. I don't have any problem with them but my neighbor is always mad about them for one reason or the other. She is really going to be mad in a few months when she no longer can have her mail delivered to her house because 911 came in and changed all of our addresses. We have been getting mail delivered from a county we don't live in so we didn't get a new address! The county we live in does not deliver mail to the house. They will put it in a box at the end of the road which is a mile away. I'm not going to fool with that. Thank God I've had a post office box for years. I can't stand the UPS man. I blogged that rant I think or I put it on fb. He literally tried to run me off the road last week because he knows I complained and he got in trouble!
