King Solomon's Wisdom

Stain Glass by Howard Solomon/Words of Wisdom from the other Solomon, King Solomon, writer of Proverbs, Chapter 15

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"

"The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit"

Solomon's friend donated an old chandelier and it was to long, he had no where to hang it. He built a 3 sided tower just to hang the chandelier and made it an entrance to the kitchen of the castle. Two sides are the stain glass windows and the door is the 3rd side.
Kitchen door to a castle
The pointed roof allows the chandelier to hang just right.  it is a tiny 3 sided room, and from the inside is wonderful on a sunshiny day. There are more than 80 stained glass windows in the castle. they are varied sizes because he bought used windows and knocked out the glass and replaced with his own design of stained glass.

"A joyful heart is like good medicine, a broken spirit will make one sick"

This is truly wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. I think I love that window with the purple colours especially.

Wow! I like the woodwork on the many sided ceiling better than the chandelier! And on the last picture, I can see the outside of those windows, too. I love stained glass windows, and have a picture folder of them to post sometime. I'm just waiting because I may see even more pretty ones. I love the dove on the front door. If you have a close up picture of that,I would like to see it. It's 1:30 and I just got out of bed!! Phil and I are both sick with awful colds, and I hope that's all they are. I took chills all night. He had to cancel singing in the area music festival tonight, so I'm disappointed we won't be going.

Looking at Solomon's stained glass windows the word 'whimsical' comes to mind for some of them. He has a remarkable talent.

I really like the chandelier but would never have thought about constructing a room especially for it, amazing. I love the kitchen door.

I think I have already said this, probably more than once, but I am really enjoying your tour of this fantastic place.
