In our area there are thousands of species of Palm Trees. I know the names of none of them. All that I can tell you about this Palm tree is: the trunk was so beautiful and colorful I had to snap closeup shots.
God is the experience of looking at a tree and saying, "Ah!"

Reminds me of a work of pottery with lots of little cracks in it... ;)
You KNOW what I like! Bark...Bark
Oh I love the texture on that! OBTW Several people who commented on my "Monochrome Lake" post for Phun Phriday! wondered how it was done, so I posted a tutorial on it today. If you're interested just click here. Thanks for dropping by and your comment.
Very interesting blog. Textures and grains also earth tone color.
Gorgeous. The cracks in the bark resemble the cracks in Buddy's skin. i wonder it there's pain for the trees?
I've proboblay never seen palm tree trunks up close, so this is cool. Again with the great quotes, but my favorite today is your most excellent header. WOW to that!
Hey there Sandra..love your inspiring trees/palm series!! The quotes are terrific as well! I think I have to get out on an adventure this weekend! Hope you have a wonderful day and weekend!!
What wonderful character in both sets of your bark art ...
What do they look like in Black and White? Kev
Just found your beautiful blog via photowannabe comment. Both your photos and quotations are inspiring. I'll be back!
great texture on that tree, Sandra. I love the quote saying that our mind is a garden and our thoughts are the seeds.... NEAT!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
I love how the trunks look like they might be wearing girdles - sucking them in every so often to make them thinner here and there. I never noticed that before...
I don't think I have ever seen a palm trunk quite like this one, very interesting. It almost looks like circles have been stacked one on top of the other.
I like your bark art. I've never paid that much attention to the bark of palm trees. I will from now on.
