Flip Flops & Feet

Post Title? check Feet? check Flip Flops? check

Egret Feet
As I pondered what to write, I started to sing a song I learned as a child and taught to my children.

Egret Feet
( the feet are different because they are different types of Egrets)
"Be Careful little feet, where you go, Be careful little feet where you go, for the Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little feet where you go"
Have you ever sung this song? I posted the children singing it below.

Heron Feet
We left the pier with all these really neat feet, drove to a beach and of course left our shoes to wade and wiggle toes in the sand.

Judy's Feet

Sandra's Feet (oops that is the camera strap covering my toes)

The song I sung as a child was to remind us to guard our tongues, hands, feet and ears. Be careful what we say, what we do, where we go and what we hear. All still good advice. Even better advice from Proverbs 4

23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. 26 Make level [b] paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. 27 Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Oh, this sure brings back memories! I remember my Mom singing that song to me when I was a toddler. The song had left my memory. Thank you for reminging me of it, I have great-grand toddlers to sing that song to. Gerry

The yellow Egret feet made me laugh, they remind me of rain boots.
I haven't sung that song for many years, thanks for the memory :)

I had almost forgotten this song, but I do remember singing it when I was young and my children singing it. Thanks for both memories and the neat pictures of feet (and flip flops).

Oh Yes, I remember that little song... I taught children in Children's Choirs and also in VBS many years, and of course, my own children---SO we sung that song many times... It has hand motions with it also--similar to the ones on the video... CUTE!!!!!

Thanks for sharing the FEET today...
Hugs,
Betsy

I guess we all sang that with our children, didn't we. I wonder if it is being sung today...we surely need it.

Love the feet.

I love this post, it's just perfect! When i first saw your header, I thought that I was on Kiluea Poetry's blog! We are birdwatchers, and the first thing I notice on a blog's bird photos are the feet, for some reason! And no, I do not have a foot fetish! So I was tickled pink with just the feet. But then I love your quote as well, and got a real scream out of that camera strap. I'm glad you didn't take that picture over, because it's way funnier with the strap in the way!! I wonder if we all do that, I know I do!! It really irritates me! In the way all the time and no way to get rid of it unless you put it around your neck, which can limit the camera range.

Love both the bird feets, and the people feets, love the flowers, love the quote from Proverbs, and especially love the song. I don't ever remember hearing it before. I taught VBS many times, and we sang lots of songs. Wish I had known that one then. Would have sung it to my own children and VBS children. I wonder if Henry sings it at Calvary Day Care? I will have to ask B&D. Another beautiful, inspirational post. Keep up the good work! I agree with Beverly. This world really needs it!

Isn't it great that we all sang the same song?

Let's face it, FEET ARE UGLY!
I can't think of any species with beautiful feet.
But aren't we blessed to have them!

I love the egret feet, the second shot reminds me of the stirrup pants that were popular years ago.

I must be the only one who doesn't remember the song but more than likely I have just forgotten it.

Love your camera strap photo, we all probably have one or two of those shots. I wrap mine around my wrist, a habit I developed years ago with my SLR. If I drop it it won't hit the ground.
