The day after I found the dime sized snail eating the dead flower from yesterday's post, I was leaning over admiring the Moss Rose flowers as I do each and every day.
A visiting snail, burrowing in the pollen! Is the the one from yesterday? or a cousin? aunt? Uncle? parent?
the most intersting facts on snails that I found, were they are both male and female and they all lay eggs. birds eat them and most Gardens have them, but they are hard to find.

These are actually the most beautiful pictures of a snail on a flower I've seen! Lovely pink!! Yet when I see them -its war!! Have you heard of rat lung disease? We get those big African snails here too! Like the toad it can even kill a dog if they get a hold of it! (generally its the puppies who do that). This one resembles some kind of sea shell. We'll see if I'm off base when I check on the big screen in the morning (lol)..I'm fading away!

Hmmmm - another thing I didn't know - that they are both male and female and lay eggs. Yowsa - better watch my flowers on my patio for these little creatures!! I've had some - but um - no longer.... I helped them leave!! ;o)
If I'd found that snail, I would have been looking for his relatives with which to make escargot!! = )

The snails do leave evidence around---so we always know where they are. They can damage plants --so we put down something to get rid of them in certain places. But--they always seem to come back!!!! I'm not sure what 'good' they do..... They make me shiver just looking at them.
