the purple pod leaves raise up one and two at a time. Not only are they beautiful when in the air, they fall on the ground and create beauty.
Can you find Jakes PAW?
I did not arrange these, but took the photos as they fell.
The side bar photos are to show the actions of the leaves and were taken in semi darkness
The banana plant put on a real show for me that year

I found the paw, love the first image Sandra
Those flowers must be huge! (I found the paw.) And I still can't get over that I had absolutely no idea where bananas "came from". Well I did know they grew on trees... LOL ...
Wow, I didn't grow up around, nor have I really spent any time around banana trees, and had never seen this process before. Fascinating and beautiful.
The red pod leaves look like silk fabric. All is beautiful and exotic. I would have missed Jake's leg because it blends right in and like like a branch!

I didn't realize how beautiful banana trees actually were. Thanks for enlightening me and for sharing this beauty with us.
I love bananas. I eat one almost everyday. But the ones I eat are yellow. :-)
The inside of the leaf is such a rich shade of red, the flowers really are beautiful. I spotted Jake's paw, was he helping pick the bananas?
Looks like a gorgeous red ribbon... How pretty!!!!
George had to point out Jake's paw to me!!!! duh!!!!
Guess I'm tired tonight....
Hope you had a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
The one nice thing about living in warmer climates is that things like bananas grow there. We also have magoes, litchies etc and in summer gorge ourselves on the freshly picked fruit.
Wow! From banana boat to banana development, your images were fascinating. I scrolled through several times just to take closer look.
