These trees are amazing! A FIG tree? Bet the one in the bible wasn't that big!! That story always makes me think they are way smaller! It really adds something to see the children playing in it. The banyans would make good ghost trees for Halloween, spooky.
Those are some neat images..especially with the kids running around the roots! We have one out in front of my husbands shop. Over here if you have no depth (you haven't dozed through lava) the roots will travel clear across your property!
we have trees here in New Zealand just like this. Thanks for telling me that it is a banyan tree. I had photos taken but i didn't post it because I didn't know the name,
Unbelievable! I would love to see those trees in person. They look like something from a science fiction movie and may pull up their roots and start walking! ☼ Sunny

They are fantastic Sandra. Love the root systems on them.
Fooled Me. The child in the foreground looked like a doll to me I had to look several times to see it is a little girl. Thats a magnificient tree.
Really neat old trees Sandra, trees can really talk to you!
Wow! I didn't know fig trees got that big?
I've seen large banyan trees before, but this is the largest fig tree I've ever seen!
Those are great, Sandra. Check your spelling of Selby (Sekby.)
Oh My!!! That is a HUGE tree!! Really cool roots - and I bet that is fun to play among its roots!
Those trees, especially the roots, are great. Great fun for the children too!
Thanks for the camera advice. I need to quit jumping around and focus (literally) on one area for awhile. Everyone says don't use the flash.
Best,
Bonnie

those roots are absolutely eerie ... thank you for telling us about them
WOW, that is impressive. I had no idea fig trees could be that big. And those children in the picture really give the perspective.
Great pictures Sandra... Cute children also.
I cannot believe a FIG tree could be that big... Wow!!!!
I've seen big Banyon trees and love them. Gorgeous!!

Okay -- they scare me -- do those trees talk like the ones in that movie....

Big roots on the tree are huge. The children do put the tree in perspective.
Amazing roots. The perfect childrens playground.
Great images Sandra the kids make you realise the size of these things.

Very cool old trees. I'm glad you included the children to give a sense of the size. Those roots are amazing.
Oh, look at those beautiful children and look at that lovely little girl. She looks like Alice in Wonderland. :-)
