Actually, it's NOT a "plaid plant". But it does looks like plaid ribbon to me.
It is a type of Bromeliad. .

I'm suspecting you were out there with a brush and a jar of white paint before you took the pictures... /haha/
What a beautiful, and odd looking plant. I've never seen anything like it. You've been out snapping again ha ha ha ha
I don't know where you come up with all of these things I have never seen. It is a beautiful plant. Great pictures! Is this in your yard?
What a gorgeous plant that is, so unique and I agree it does look like plaid ribbon.
Love all the quotes too
I love those plants, but they don't do so well up here with our cold winters. Those were great photos Sandra.
It looks like someone took some white paint and put crude horizontal stripes across..... very unusual. I bet the flower is gorgeous when fully open. Oh, it looks like someone already had this thought.
Looks like someone got carried away with the paintbrush. Great shots and quotes.
Have a super weekend .
Is this YOURS? Wow! I have seen the sriped, but never the plaid! If this IS yours, why haven't you posted it before?
Beth LOVES plants so when I showed her these she was IMPRESSED!
I do love the Bromelaid's Sandra although this is one I have not seen before so thanks for showing it to us.
The Bromeliad is one of my favorites!! Tree frogs and mosquitoes enjoy them as well! Still, it never stopped me from planting and propagating! We have a similar variety (you've probably seen) as the blooms here. There are many different kinds. This one might be fun for Christmas too! These are terrific quotes Sandra! Hope you have a wonderful evening-
That's an intriguing pattern on the leaves ....
That is a beautiful leaf pattern, it does resemble a plaid ribbon. I would love to have one of those as a house plant. Great quotes too Sandra.
Oh I love that Sandra! It's so beautiful with it's stripes!
This plant looks so beautiful and interesting. I've never seen leaves with such patterns.
